I am currently using Orange Triad and have 5 or 6 bottles stacked up. I was thinking of trying a can of animal pak and animal flex instead in the near future. Has anyone tried both? If so could you notice any difference?
Has anyone used animal flex with orange triad for additional joint support or is that overkill?
The animal combo is more expensive then just the OT
Thanks for any input

Animal pak+Animal flex vs Orange Triad

The animal combo is a good bit more expensive. Then factor in whether or not you are taking in 2 paks like is on the animal pak nutrition label which lasts 22 days, and then paying for Flex on top of it.
You receive 45 full days at full dose on OT.
My personal go to is OT + Oximega fishoil + bulk cissus. Its an amazingly good joint stack, effective and doesnt burn your walletLast edited by powercage; 03-17-2011 at 08:03 PM.

you wouldnt need additional joint support outside of maybe fish oil or cissus if you really want to add something.
if you have 5 bottles, why even look to buy more products in the same category? you have a great product, stick with itSpecials & insider info

Gotta enjoy the mob of Cl reps and their uber high rep power..
OT is hands down one of the best all-in-one multi's on the site..
I put it as my #1 multi, life force a close second then animal pak right behind that.
I do it on a price / effectiveness scale.--BuLKinG--

This is what I do, except instead of bulk I get AppNut Osteobolin-C cissus capsules. The cissus really makes a difference. Last year when I was already on OT for awhile I was having a problem with my thumb joint (bicycle riding related) that wasn't clearing up. Started taking the cissus and 2 weeks later it felt MUCH better. OT/Oximega is great for "all-around" joint health but if you need that extra boost, try the cissus.
Hopefully when CL decides to reformulate one day they'll include cissus in their formula.

animal pack probably has the best combo of ingredients but some of them might be to high in dosage which is why i stopped tacking it. For example, 1 pack has 1 gram of calcium and if u were to take two pack u would have 2 grams and people arent suppose to have more than 2 grams of calcium today and even tho i only took one pack a day between protein shakes and everything else i was way over.
some of the other b vitamins are in high dosages and i wasnt sure how safe it was so i stopped taking it

I have taken around 5 or 6 cans of both animal pak and flex. Since they are a little more on the pricy side I just recently switched to Orange triad. I think Orange Triad is a great product and it is working well for me but in my opnion I don't think it compares to animal pak and flex. My joints/muscles and overall health does'nt quite feel like it did when I was taking the animal products. Again, I am not bashing Orange Triad I think it is a excellent product, especially for the price but I just personally would choose the animal products if you can afford them. The main difference is that my joints always felt fresh while on animal flex, I lift heavy and often so this is important to me. Hope that helps.

Animal Flex has a lot more in it than other joint formulas, it's the most complete. It was not formulated for convenience but for effectiveness. Their are patented ingredients in Flex that you do not find in other formulas. It's a targeted joint formula for hard training bodybuilders/athletes/powerlifters.
BB.com sells Pak/Flex as a stack called the Hard.Core. Stack, it's a full 44 day supply:
http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/un...ore-stack.html
Universal Animal Flex
Life's hard. Your training is hard. To survive, you've gotta be harder. Rugged and durable. Bulletproof. Impenetrable. Impervious to the elements. That's why you choose Animal Flex.* To support your joints, connective tissue and skeletal structure.* To weather the storm that is the most ballistic training.* To combat the inevitable effects of your war with the weights.* Live hard. Train hard. Go hard with Animal Flex, "Joint Supplement of the Year" for 4 years running.*
Universal Animal Pak
It takes a strong core to last, to endure. Core strength to handle the heavy loads, to move the big weights. For more than a quarter century, Animal Pak has been the core of the most elite supplement regimens in the world, the cornerstone of the most serious bodybuilders' nutritional insurance plans. “The True Original”, the Pak has been there since day one to fortify your core nutrition.* That’s what makes it the "Multvitamin of the Year", 5 years straight.
A strong, rugged physique is built much like an old city building. It is set in place brick by sturdy brick from the ground up. Intended to be impervious to the elements, to endure… Built to last. Such a structure needs a strong footing and a solid core to stand the test of time.
Such a human foundation can only be forged through consistent dedication to the heavy basics--the steady hoisting of unyielding piles of iron for years on end, the end result of which is a thick base of dense muscle and solid bone that is just as strong as it looks.
One's diet must be structured in much the same way-built upon tried and true clean food choices that get the job done day in and day out. Lean meats, eggs, oats, brown rice, milk, fruits and veggies. Nothing fancy, only the proven staples that have built strong men since before the days that man first decided to lift heavy objects for leisure.
The supplement game is no different. Same story. Get the basics right, build a solid basis for your protocol and everything else will grow forth strong from that core. In our part of town, on the wrong side of the tracks, where the gyms still supply chalk and the only "no judgment zone" exists alone in your bedroom, that supplemental foundation is made up of Animal Pak and Animal Flex.
"Foundational Supplements", that's Animal shorthand for the day in and day out ****. The basics that don't need to be cycled. You can use them all 365 without fail. This is the category that perfectly summarizes the proper usage of Pak and Flex. They are your daily staples-the foundation upon which to build your supplement regimen.*
Before the hype and hoopla, prior to the mythology and the mystique, there was only one. The "True Original", the Animal Pak. The industry leader for more than a quarter century, the Pak is the ultimate training pack of choice for the many dedicated and hardcore of iron athletes.* More than a mere multivitamin, the Pak is made to the specifications of the most demanding of athletes who hold themselves and all that they digest to the highest of standards.*
Pak packs into each pack robust doses of vitamins and minerals, performance optimizing herbs and extracts, muscle building amino acids, immune promoting antioxidants and digestive enzymes designed to promote nutrient efficiency and utilization.* All of this is contained in Animal's signature pre-dosed packs meant to take the guess work out of supplementation, all the while placing an emphasis on convenience. Throw your Pak in your cooler or gym bag and you're good to go.
Born from this storied tradition was Animal Flex. Still to this day, the only joint formula intended with the very special and extreme needs of diehard weight trainers, when Animal Flex hit the scene in 2004, it took the industry by storm. Taken either to combat the inevitable dings and nicks associated with the constant onslaught of daily gym warfare or as a preventative measure-something of an insurance policy against the wear and tear of heavy weights, more and more of the hardcore ilk can bear witness to the power of Animal Flex.
A comprehensive supplement designed for the convenience of once daily dosing, each potent, joint-supporting pack contains nutrients added for the intent purposes of joint construction, lubrication and general support.* The imposing Flex profile includes potent doses of highly touted, surmised ingredients like Glucosamine, Chondroitin, MSM, Cetyl Myristoleate and Hyaluronic Acid.* Staying healthy is serious business if you plan to be in the iron game for the long haul. With Animal Flex, you've got the tools you need to endure.*
The standard bearers for the category since they first hit the shelves, the reigning Bodybuilding.com award winners ever since their inception, the choice of champions everywhere, Pak and Flex are the supplemental foundation for the most dyed in the wool, dedicated iron warriors. A pack of each, every day and you're straight. It is just that easy. The basics are simple, they're not a passing fancy, they never go out of style. Train your ass off, never miss a meal and cover your bases with the hard core of Animal Pak and Animal Flex.Free Agent

Apples and oranges, this is where I would have to say I think they are both good in their own ways, look at what they provide, break down the cost and pick from there.
cant go wrong with either choice, havent had a single problem using the pak/flex combo.
though I have used OT before and it worked just fine for me.

I won't talk about the competition unlike other reps, but between Animal Pak and Animal Flex, ya have what, 11 awards between 'em? Pak has won every single "Multi of the Year" awards, six in a row and Flex has won "Joint Supplement of the Year" all five years in a row. These two are the best-sellers and get tons of love here on the forum. Plus, the two are backed by Animal's "Ironclad Guarantee". They're popular, they flat out work and they are guaranteed with a 100% refund. What's not to like?

And another benefit to Orange Triad is the ability to spread dosing out throughout the day. Spreading your nutrients out throughout the day is the best way to take full advantage of absorption as you can only assimilate so much at one time
