How important is heart rate for maximum fat burning cardio?

i've read that your heart rate should be something like 65% of its max

when i run on the treadmill for 30 minutes, my heart rate is at about 80% of its max....i could even run faster for 30 minutes if i wanted to. but is it true that i should tone down the intensity to maximize fat burn?

As long as you are above 65% its good. At 85% you will burn a lot of carbs at first but when they deplete you will be using fat.
