A big thanks again to the great people here on BB.com for the wealth of information and motivation.
Started at 240lbs January 4th, weighed in at 200 even yesterday, March 16th. Am hoping to be cut right down for June to around 175-180lbs and see where I'm at. Not the greatest pics, but I can see definition coming back, feel worlds better as well. The giant scar on my stomach happened when I was a few months old, and it really emphasizes my fat gut, so I'm looking forward to the day it's gone.
Thanks again BB, my best is certainly still to come. I will consolidate photos here.

ty sir - cutting at 1200-1500 per day, comprised mostly of a larger lunch/dinner with fastest gym time in the morning (just feels better while I work to not be loaded full of food). 25-30 minutes of cardio daily x7 days a week, weight work 6 days a week. No secrets or anything special...just eat less, work hard in the gym, repeat.
Feels great to be this far along, but I know it's still a long road ahead.

haha I noticed that! As well, I can get off a ring on my finger that wouldn't budge before...apparently, I hold a lot of weight in my wrists and fingers. /freejokeopener
You may very well be right about that, a good point. I did have a question, actually - at my current state, would it be wise to work in x2 ab routines a week? I've been neglecting it so far as I felt their were better places to focus my energy (re: everywhere), but will doing them now help definition once I drop the next 30-40?
Thanks again y'all.Last edited by azurejer; 03-17-2011 at 02:52 PM. Reason: typo

Way too low calories for your height... you're going to cut into 0 mass with such a huge deficit.
You have amazing progress so far, but you have to look at the whole picture.
At such a huge deficit, sure you'll get skinny, but you'll have next to no muscle definition, no matter how much you cut. Especially @ 1200 calories... that's low even for a woman.
I'd up your calories to a minimum of 2k. Preferably eat closer to maintenance level, with how much you lift and do cardio.
Your maintenance is going to be around 2400 roughly... building any sort of muscle, to cut down into, is going to be next to impossible @ 1200-1500 calories, even w/ no0b gains.
Regardless, great progress so far brah'... don't stop!- /\^/\^Colorado Crew^/\^/\

I appreciate the thoughtful reply, thank you.
Since their is such substantial weight still remaining, I was considering another 20lbs on this hard cut before bringing the calories up to nearer to where they should be. I want to be skinny, even, and start from a skinny foundation and rebuild up from that. Bad idea?

I feel ya on wanting to just 'get skinny' and have that basic foundation to work with... up to you man, but I don't think you'll have abs or significant definition before Summer time @ such low calories.
BUT, I can certainly be wrong... some people have better genetics then others.
If you notice your weight loss stalling, up your calories. Yes up them... there's a certain point your body will start hoarding that fat, especially with how low on the calorie scale you;re at.
Believe it or not, you can break a stall and lose MORE fat by eating more. I stalled @ one point around 2k calories, upped it to 2400 and I've been losing steadily ever since, also my lifts have been going up every week as well, which means I'm re-comping. (all tho a bit slowly... but you can't beat gaining mass & losing fat simultaneously)
Just listen to your body and don't be afraid to change something and eat more if things slow down or stall.
Look forward to seeing your progress man. /subbed- /\^/\^Colorado Crew^/\^/\

good job on the weight lose, however i think your going to have loose skin so you will never see abs this summer. Realistically set your goal to see some solid abs with good mass for next summer or the following summer. if you keep up this dedication shown you will make it easy
~also after reading your post up your calories some it will be detrimental in the long run being that low.
