    Weighted Pullup World Record ***training***

    My Goal is to do a Pull-up with 400+ LBs....Again.... by May 20th, 2011

The current world record: Tim Ferguson, Australia, weighing 178 lb with another 202 lb

    http://www.strengthospeedia.org/

This time I have to have two qualified witnesses and submit the videos and statements to. Dale Harder of "Strength & Speed".
I also have a open claim to add "Heaviest Weighted Pull-up" to the Guinness World Records. I'll hear back in 4 weeks if it's approved.

    Background:

The very first time breaking 380 LBs was on Mar 16, 2008.

Second and third time was training for a weighted pullup contest held by extremepullups.com. I started training on Aug 27, 2010
    Sep 18, 2010 I did 386 Lb

    Oct 11, 2010 I did 404 Lb

    Supplements:

Whey protein 80 grams (2 scoops) on the workout day and the 2 days after
A mix of Optimum nutrition and EAS from Sam's Club

Right now just pull-ups I'll keep my leg routine but nothing that might hurt my lower back. I'll take it easy on squats.

If i get stuck I might do some incline and shoulders. pullups do hit your chest.

I'll try and keep my self between 200 and 210.

    201 lb body weight
I worked out from home. My rhomboids were a little tender today, working though it.

    Set 1- 31 pull-ups body weight

    Break

(Hold slow Negative on last rep)
    Set 2- 135 lb 2 reps
    Set 3- 100 6 reps
    Set 4- 100 6 reps
    Set 5- 100 6 reps
    Set 6- 100 6 reps
    Set 7- 135 1 rep

I am very aware of my lats, chest is was definitely worked. blame it on the 31 body weight reps.

I think my next back workout will be sunday or monday.

    100 lbs x 14 reps

    Bench: 365 lbs
    Squat: 405 lbs

Ya, I want to be certain I'll be able to do it when the date comes. I don't want to just "hope I get it" when the witnesses show up. I'm sure I can predict a 386 lbs pull, but I really don't want to beat it by just 6 lbs.

I might schedule two pulls April 16 and May 14

Does it matter if you do chinups or pullups? just that it says his record was for chinups???? so i was a little confused.

I have never even tried a max weighted on a chinup. In fact I rarely ever do chinups. I prefer hammer grip pullups. Would be interesting to see what my max 1 rep is with chinup grip and hammer grip.
