I am trying not to eat like complete crap as I do a bulk, but I am realizing it is VERY hard to actually gain decent weight while eating decent. Getting my 200g protein each day isn't that difficult especially with some whey isolate and/or protein bars on the side, but I have only gained like 2-5lbs (depending on when i step on the scale) in the last 2 weeks. My lifts are still rising, but feel like I need to be putting weight on a bit quicker.
I have like 1/2 to 3/4 tub of Carbo-Gain I got last year that I have ONLY used as a PWO drink. usually mix 1/2 cup in water and add 1 scoop whey protein for my PWO drink.
If I am going to be drinking my protein shakes at various times during the day, should I just start adding 1/2 cup of carbo-gain to it, instead of the protein alone, just for energy and weight gaining reasons?
Should I be taking any carbo-gain Pre-lifting as well?

2-5 pounds gain sounds pretty normal for lean muscle development in the 2 week time period. I think if you put on anymore than that per week, you'd be getting some fat too?

that is encouraging to hear then. I can never tell what my real weight is LOL, usually I weight myself in the morning. But I might be 173 in the morning, and 179 at night.
But I did start things off closer to 170, so I know if I am hovering between 173-175 its a 2-5lb weight gain.
But I still might throw 200-300 calories of carbo-gain at my system during the day, probably can't hurt especially on lifting days.
