Would it be a terrible idea to consume just eggs? The ratio is perfect for keto and basically no carbs. Plus they are a complete protein.
Okay, so i have made the case for consuming just eggs. What is the downside?

It works good if and only if you dont do it long term.
A week or 2 at most...
Problem is with only eating 1 type of food ect your not getting certain vitamins ect taht your body needs.
(someone will argue that we all take multi vitamins ect)
So before they do let me explain you still get certain things from foods that your vitamins will not make up for.

people post ideas to eat only one thing while on keto from time to time, like chicken breast with coconut fat or eggs or whatever
i gotta ask, what is the point? you are not going to end up with some special physique that would otherwise be out of reach
im not saying dont do it, just wondering why do it...???

that doesnt matter, i was thinking more along the lines of:
'****, eggs again?'
that and the insane digestion haha, but Vince Gironda used to recommend huge amounts of eggs and that guy was a voodoo guru, if you can keep it up, good on you
i had 12 eggs with 1000 calories worth of coconut oil for my one meal a few weeks ago (12 eggs is like 1000 cals as well) and let me tell you my stomach was surprised and unimpressed
tasted ok though, big fatty pile o' eggs

all those free radicals produced from exercise and normal metabolism....you'll age faster eating nothing but eggs.
"OddLawnGnome: Edit: and one further question, how soon after eating post workout should I drink water? I don't want to accidentally flush all of the protein and such I just ate out of my system."

I think eating eggs and only eggs is fine for as long as you can tolerate it. I did it because 1) I love eggs 2) Im lazy and Im not always in the mood to cook. I dont think ill ever get tired of eggs, but at the same time its good to mix up your food so you can get different textures of food and you will be less likely to binge or smoke crack or do whatever it is yall do when you jump off the keto bandwagon..

My question is... why? It's not like we're heavily restricted on nutritious foods with keto. In fact, we get to eat some of the best (and best tasting) foods on a daily basis.
Eggs are very beneficial to anyone, but eating such a large amount for that amount of time is bound to fcuk up your cholesterol levels. That's the last thing you want, especially if you're doing heavy exercising.

Bro, go take your IIFYM crew sh*t somewhere else.. You guys preach BS!!!!!!!! Eating junk and all that.. You guys have taken that stuff a little too far now.. So go ahead and keep eating trash... So people are really interested in weight loss.. Plus, we aren't 18-19 year old who's metabolic rate is still high where we can eat "kids cereal" and not gain weight.. So go back to your fruit loops!!!!

A normal, healthy person should limit their healthy cholesterol intake to 300mg a day. One large egg has roughly 215mg. OP would probably be eating 30 eggs a day (give or take), which is 6,450mg of cholesterol a day.
Depending on genetics and personal history, this is a pretty bad thing to do for long periods of time.
Not starting a flame war what-so-ever, just giving my 2 cents. Everyone believes different things when it comes to the medical field, it seems.
