you just revive at the graveyard or the med center or w/e. Basically nothing negative other than you gotta run back to where the battle is and ur friends are probably gonna get owned soon too

I believe everything is PVP on a pvp server aside from your capital city and the starter planet. They also have planets that are specifically for PVP though but I haven't gotten that far.

I'm going to keep my pre-order. The game isn't flawless but I expect it to get better. I see alot more balance in pvp than I did with SWG and spamming knockdown/eyeyshot/at-st rape. Jedi's are balanced and aren't OP so it gives it a point to play the other classes.

THe story seems good but honestly I skip the story unless its the main storyline. I'm not big into reading or watching the VO(personal preference).

You get a strike on your character and have 2 more deaths or you're permanently dead and have to re roll. Wait **** sorry got this star wars game mixed up with a better one.

Played Star Wars: The Old Republic on a friends beta account... nowhere near as good as KOTOR in my opinion. Just felt like I was mashing on hot keys.

KOTOR is in my top 5 games of all time and I'm so upset that they didn't make another amazing singleplayer experience.

Ah but it is that fact, that they're so different, in itself that is so disappointing. That being said I am enjoying my experience with it so far. Probably not enough to purchase/pay monthly for it but I won't judge those that do.

I'm diggin it. Probably gonna go with Assassin....I love the stealth type of classes because I do alot of world pvp.

Just read the article in Game Informer about it - basically lists the experience of 4 staffers playing as each character type under the Sith classes and what they liked/didn't like about it.

Considering I have nothing to compare it too in terms of MMOs since I didn't play any sure as hell sounds pretty good to me. Just have to hope I don't have any issues actually playing once the new pc comes in.

dont mean to bash you, bro, but EQ and UO were so much more challenging and rewarding to play than WoW.. WoW is a child's game.. they hand you rewrads for doing nothing like most MMOs do now.. EQ and UO took hours to get one piece of gear you wanted.. it is moronic to even think WoW is on the same level as EQ...

EQ1 is still the best MMO out there.. even after 12 years

I like the game, even if it has its flaws. Will probably preorder it soon!

Those of you who know more about it: Do you see PvP in this game as something you can really focus on in the late game, or is it more of an 'afterthought'? I like both PvE and PvP, but I mainly see PvE as my rite of passage so to speak and a way to level the character and learn the mechanics before really getting challenged versus other players
