Here's the thing. As an asian student in a foreign school (Australia, America, whatever), the reason why these people get offended is because of the refusal to accept the local culture (many asians do this). I can understand where some people come from when they get offended when asians talk in their first language in their groups and refuse to communicate to the locals. Somehow, it has a rude vibe to it. I'm not siding with the girl in the video, she is a dumb bish. (yes asian, yes studied in Australia)

Annoying ****s on cell phones seemed to be all races during my 6 years of undergrad. My bigest problem with FOB asians were they stunk really bad. I don't know if it was just the 4 I was with but man I could smell one of them 2 seats back. And one of them had, I kid you not, a single 3 inch long neck hair that he would not shave. it was like a string coming off a mole on his neck, looked fking nasty and awkward.

I guess it depends on your definition of "temporary", I was there for 4 years and all of my best friends are aussies. The fact that there are plenty of other asians to socialize with isn't really the issue.. sure, you don't need to assimilate but many of these asians can get their degree or qualification of education in their own country. So why go overseas in the first place? Why not use it as a chance to better your english? To widen your social network? learn a thing or two about social intelligence? Expose yourself to a different culture? etc..
