They're kind of right, sorry to be politically incorrect (actually no I'm not).
Before you say, oh but they weren't the same people that bombed pearl harbor, or they weren't the same people that raped this or murdered that... they don't admit they did anything wrong and they have been allowed to move on without paying anybody back.
None of their people or politicians admit to what they did or apologize. At all. You ask a german about ww2 and they say hitler was bad, nazis were evil, the holocaust was wrong, etc. The Japanese don't believe most of the stuff they did ever happened, they've never been forced to face the music.
Here are some gems that the Japanese have yet to pay for, or even admit wrongdoing over:
- Killed 30 million people. More than the germans in ww2. Vast majority of them were civilians but also included American, Dutch, French, British, Canadian, and Indian POWs who were starved to death in camps or left without water in the sun to boil alive on steel railway cars.

The Japanese literally raped and killed every woman, girl, child in the city. As many as 80,000 or more women in a month. Another 200,000 or so people were plain executed. The Japanese claim it never happened despite American and German missionaries witnessing it all first hand and taking pictures + video.

Biological testing, and plain torture. Performed live dissections (vivisection) and experimental amputations on people without anaesthetic, infected people with bubonic plague, anthrax etc, and led to biological weapons that killed 500,000 people.

This included some white nurses captured from Australian and Dutch facilities.
And just generally ****ed up **** like playing target practice with POWs, beheading, burying prisoners alive, and all kinds of stuff that is represented in Japanese porn today.
Seriously, don't feel sorry for Japan. They deserved those nukes in ww2, and they deserved this Tsunami now. Nobody should be able to get away with what they did, which is exactly what they have done. Especially when you consider that their victim countries were left to languish as 3rd world hell holes... one of them Vietnam went on to get ****ed over by the Vietnam war too. Japan on the other hand got tons of money handed to it and developed right back into a 1st world country.
