    Over 50...what should I expect

OK...I've been serious with the weightlifing for over 6 months....good diet, some cardio but mostly the machines at the gym and my upper body is looking good. BUT....despite some muscle tone on my quads and hamstrings, at my age everything is still going "south".
    Any suggestions?

I suggest you keep doing it...6 months is nothing. Keep a journal and log your improvements. Over time you will notice a difference. Consistency is the key.

My butt has has actually started to take on a northerly direction. Lots of squats, deadlifts, walking lunges, pelvic thrusts, etc.

It takes time though. You'll see progress at 6 months, and be pretty impressed at 1 year, and amazed at 2 years, and totally stoked at 3 years, blown away at...... This depends on diet, program, effort, consistency, etc.

I vacillate between pretty impressed and amazed and looking forward to stoked!
