Is it bad to eat spaghetti/pasta before lifting?

I want to work out today but i think i'm gonna have some spaghetti before i lift. Is it a bad idea to do that if i want to lift as much as possible tonight? I remember reading from somewhere taht pasta or spaghetti will make you tired after eating it... Please help, thank you.

Oh yea and I'm training for strength, not bodybuilding so just throwing that out there if it makes any difference.

completely personal preference. its probably wont effect training one way or another (barring any GI discomfort from food not being fully digested) if thats what you mean

Have you never eaten pasta before or something? You should know whether it would make you tired or not...

Besides that it's fine to eat pasta or whatever the hell you want before lifting, as long as it's not like 5 minutes beforehand unless you like puking during heavy squats.

Eat pasta. Wait until you feel like lifting weights. Lift said weights. Go home and make a thread asking us if its ok to have more pasta after a workout.
The above statement/post does not represent the opinions of anyone in real life. This is the internet. Not real life. Anyone who cannot grasp the difference between the two lacks the basic intelligence necessary for survival and should not be allowed to form opinions.
