I think any full grown man should be able to dead lift 225 with no prior training

squat for sure. Anyone can deadlift 225 even if they have never deadlifted before, most people do not squat 225 there first time.

Squat for sure
This tiny kid who went on MTVs made to become a bodybuilder deadlifted 225 at the end of his training. And the kid was like 5'4'' 120 lbs

225 dl is kind of pathetic unless you just started deadlifting.
225 squat is legit depending on your bodyweight and how many reps. i wouldn't hate on a 150lb dude reppin 225.

Funnily enough I've just reached doing both squat and deads at 225 for reps.
Squat is about 10x harder.

225 deadlift is so much easier than a REAL 225 squat.

225 squat, real full squat to at or below parallel is actually fairly hard.
anyone is says otherwise is quarter squat e-stating

the squat. Most people cannot deadlift 225, but it is reachable in like 2 weeks of training unless you are a super manlet.

A proper 225lb squat for 10 reps isn't anywhere near as easy as deadlifts.

deadlifts, because you squat high

full depth, below parallel yes, it's not easy.
certainly MUCH more difficult than a 225 deadlift.

Cutting......slowly
squats will always be tougher pound-to-pound when comparing it to deadlifts
if its vice versa then urdoingitwrong

This.
Strong estats in this thread, no surprise there. Dead'ing 225 for reps isn't super hard, just hard on my hands, but it took longer than any 2 weeks to get there. Squats are way harder though.

Who said anything about 10 reps?

Definitely much harder than a 225 deadlift, but no where near hard.(If we're talking one rep)
I could easily rep 225 first time squatting(srs, have great squat genetics though)

squats are just so easy to cheat on, a high squat is SOOOooooo much easier than a legit one.
deadlifts you can't cheat on.
if there is any doubt, it just confirms that the misc is full of 1/4 a squaters.
every gym i've been is too, so i don't see why the misc would be different.
