    Higher Power Glutamine log

    Higher Power GLUTAmine

    Male (Alpha)

For the next 30 days I will be logging Higher Power's Glutamine (I will be refering to it as GLUTA because in every Ludacris song he always says LUDA, I think they sound similiar (You just tried to see if they sound the same)) I am hoping that HP's Glutamine will reduce my soreness throughout my body, especially in my lower back, hamstrings, and biceps. My diet is pretty simple, I am currently bulking, but trying to eat mad clean. I aim for about 3300-3500 cals a day. Along with HP's Glutamine, I currently take: Scivation Whey, Prolab Creatine, Cytosport Cytomax, and Muscle Pharm Bulletproof. My workout is as follows:

    Workout A:

    1. Squat, 5 x 5
    2. Military Press, 3 x 8-12
    3. Deadlift, 3 x 5
    4. Chin-ups, 3 x failure
    5. Incline Bench Press 3x 8-12

    Workout B:

    1. Squat, 5 x 5
    2. Bench Press, 5 x 5
    3. Upright Rows, 5 x 5
    4. Bent Over BB Rows 3 x 8-12
    5. One Arm DB Preacher Curl 5 x 8

So, one week I do ABA, the next week week would be BAB. No matter the schedule, I do squats on Monday and Friday. And here is me pouring the elixir itself (selfless promotion)

    Day Uno

    Today my workout was:

Squats 5x5 240lbs: Felt good, I was able to go ATG on them
Military Press 3x8-12: 12x105lbs, 10x105lbs, 10x105lbs. I did the full range of motion got a nasty pump through out and loved it.
Deadlift 3x5 255lbs: Good stuff, I am hoping the glutamine helps with my lower back soreness.
Chinups 3xFailure: 11x25lb weight plate, 10x25lb weight, 19 body weight. I think I could have gotten more on my first two sets.
Incline Bench Press 3x8-12: Could not do this exercise because my friend drove me to the gym and he was being beta and wanted to leave.

I am deciding to take the glutamine as an intra workout supplement. I feel like it will have a better effect on me.

Taste: 9 (Sweet but not too sweet)
Focus: 7 (Would have been better if I was not rushed by my friend)
    Strength: 10
    Endurance: 9
    Recovery: Will post tomorrow
    Overall Performance: 9

The first day went well. I felt as if the Glutamine was powering me through the workout. I can't wait to take my next dose.

Whatsup G. Nice log you got going. Don't know if you got the memo, but i'm in this log with you. I'll be starting today I think with 2 servings/scoops(?? thought 1 scoop = 2 servings, but apparently 1 scoop = 1 serving).

I run a 6 day split in my perfect world. But I am in track season and am starting to have meets almost weekly so it hasnt been perfect. I run 100m and 200m.

    Monday - Chest/Tri
    Tuesday - Back/Bi
    Wendsday - Legs
Thursday - Arms (Shoulder, Bi, Tri)
    Friday - Abs/Grip
    Saturday - Full BW Calisthenics
    sunday - rest

    track practice 4x a week mon-thursday

Today is arms. I have a meet tommorow so I'm only going to be doing a couple of exercises per bodypart. Feeling a little sore so hopefully the glutamine will help. After gym im going to track practice so I won't be able to log the results for a few hours. peace.

Taste: 10 - Better then tolerable, less than delicious, but pretty damn good/enjoyable
Focus: 10 Cant attribute it to the glutamine, but it was pretty good today
Strength: 10 Lifts went pretty well
Endurance: 10 I was able to lift for a while, id say the glutamine helped
    Recovery: N/A
    Overall Performance: 9.5

I enjoyed having an intra workout today. Something tasty to sip on in between sets. My first impressions is that I can't tell much difference, maybe a little more stamina. I'm hoping it will help with the recovery a lot.

    summary of my workout
    Seated DB Shoulder Press, 50lb db's (40lb db's 1x10 warmup) 3x8,7,7
    Lateral Raises, 20lb db's 3x15,15,15
    Front Raises, 20lb db's 3x20 10 to each arm
    Side Raises, 45lb db's 3x12
Close Grip Benchpress 115lbx10 warm up, 135lbx8, 135lbx7
    Skullcrushers, EZ Bar+40lbs, 3x10,9,9
    One Armed Tricep Extensions(towards chest) 25lb dbx6,6,5
Tricep Rope Pushdown 3x10 dont remember weight
DB Curls, 35lb db's 3x20 10 to each arm great form
Tricep Bar Neutral grip curls, Bar+40lbs 3x10 great form
    One Armed Cable Curls, 15lbx15,17.5lbx12,20lbx10
    BB Shrugs, 225lbx20, 275lbx12, 275lbx12

That was it, pretty solid workout. Rest time was cut down between sets maybe cause of the glutamine or just feeling hyped up I dont know. good workout overall.

Oh my bad, I would have named it accordingly then. Today was my rest day and my lower back and quads were not sore at all so for the recovery I would give it a 9. Tomorrow I am going to experiment and take it preworkout. I am using 2 scoops, should I only be using one? We got some great logs going here guys! woot

If you dont mind my friends I will be jumping in on this starting Sunday since I will be gone all day @ hospital and will not be back until late Sat night. Plus Sat is my rest day even though I have had plenty of those this last week due to my Dads health. Thanks HPN for this amazing Blessing and looking forward to this totally.

No problem partner, hope everything goes well with your pops.

Took the GLUTA preworkout today and I though it did an excellent job as fueling me through the workout.

So here was my workout for today...

By the way, my workout, I try to increase it each day, I originally started doing the exercises with just a bar and I would increase the weight each day. That is why I am using such light weights.

Upright Rows: Felt really good, I did not have to use a lot of momentum to get the weight up.

Barbell Bent Over Rows: Got a nasty pump in my arms and back, which is always a bonus, felt like I could have done 5000 reps.

Bench Press: Good ROM, left elbow felt slightly weird during the lockout, but I thought I did well.

One Arm DB Preacher Curl: Did well, nasty veins going on. I think next week I'll move up to a 35lb dumbbell.

    Taste: 10
Focus: 9 (Would have been a 10 but everyone and their mother was at the gym)
    Strength:10
Endurance: 11 (It was that good)
    Recovery: WPT (Will Post Tomorrow)
    Overall: 9

Today is going to be a long day at the gym im hoping. Packing my 10g of glutamine for intra workout to help keep me going. going to take a pre workout as well, as its gonna be one of those days, gotta make up for a couple of missed workouts.

Hoping to hit: Abs/Grip, Legs, Then BW exercises like pullups, pushups, dips, rows, etc. hopefully some cardio, well have to see how long I can survive, I like to destroy each bodypart. Resting tommorow depending on how well today goes.

    ^^nice recovery

Destroyeddddd my abdominals with every exercise known to man. Then hit my grip, did pullups and dips throughout my workout. Totaled at 60 pullups for the day. Couldnt hit legs or do cardio. Probably going to train tommorow. Glutamine was excellent for endurance. thanks for reading.

Abs are hurtin with DOMS but thats to be expected considering how hard I hit them, they arent too terrible tho. Back isnt too bad from the pullups and grip aint terrible. Defenitely noticable and helpful.

    Day 4

Well I did get to go to the gym so I had 2 scoops of GLUTA preworkout.

I am at my friends house for Spring Break so I had to go to a new gym...we all know how it feels to walk around for 10 minutes looking for a squat rack then finding out there are no squat racks. So I subbed in hack squats, I really did not put that much into them since they usually hurt my knees. For Incline Bench, it seems like there was a line for it so I just did some high reps on the normal bench. Other than that I had crazy vascularity.

Military Press: Felt good, I'll move up the weight next workout session
Deadlift: I had to do these on that shrug square bar thing because this gym had a weird deadlift station.
Chinup: So usually I use a weight belt but they had a weird weight added machine, I was not able to get the ROM I wanted, so I just decided to just use my body weight.

    Taste: 9
    Focus: 9
    Strength: 10
    Endurance: 9
    Recovery: WPT
    Overall: 9
