Last week at the gym I created my own exercise for cardio. Maybe others do it too but I never see anyone trying it at the gym. What do you guys think of this exercise for cardio.
So on the stationary bike at the 4 setting I go for 3 minutes to warm up.
I switch the setting to 8 now and I add light (5lbs) dumbbells to the cardio.
20 secs as i ride the bike I do a punching motion, push-pull repeatedly. Left, Right, Left, Right, etc. as I pedal. Then I stop the punching and just pedal on the 8 setting for 40 secs. I continue doing this 10 times, so for 10 minutes Total, with 20 secs pedaling + the dumbell and 40 secs just pedaling alone.
Then 2 minutes on setting 4 to cool down.
So this 15 minute cardio session gets me soaking wet from sweat!
So is this a good idea for cardio? Anyone ever try it? Thanks!
