Thoughts about doing 1 scoop with 20 oz of water and then another 20 oz 30minutes after workout?
Started doing this to keep myself satisfied for a longer period of time and figured it would help metabolism?
I feel like it helps me get my amount of water needed(my protein tastes delicious).
I'm trying to lose weight so I'm not trying to go over 30% protein, which I'm not.
Thoughts?

You can put your shake in as much or little water as you would like.
If it's helping you reach your water goal, then keep doing 20 oz.
As far the the other part, it sounds like you need to visit the nutrition section to get your diet in check.

you would be better off eating after your training. protein shakes are all about hitting macros."All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." (Edmund Burke)

Sorry I must have confused you guys.
I'm taking the protein shakes for both recovery and hitting my macros. My eating habits are good.
I was reading and some people suggested not take the protein for weight lose, but it helps me hit my macro. There was no reason for me to mention 30% protein. I'm hitting my macros and have the calory deficit I want for the weight I want to lose.
I'm only asking about the lengthened time of drinking the protein shake.
Is it better for recovery/metabolism to drink it all after work or would it help/hurt to lengthen that time to 60minutes, instead of 30.

Timing of nutrients isn't wholly relevant to the vast majority of people. Use powdered food to meet your macro whenever convenient. When you take it isn't going to change how you recover.
