lower back strain always after deadlift day

who else gets this? I just lift heavy, my form doesnt feel bad?

Anyways the rest of the day I find it really hard to bend over or use my lower back at all, even lowering myself down to pick something off the floor will be a big effort. I guess you could associate it with pain, usually only lasts the same day or possibly most of the next day and then goes. feels like strain

    ???

is the ache in your lower back muscles, or is it like pain in your spine?

Not sure why people get so concerned about this.

After leg days = legs feel strained
After chest days = chest / shoulders feel strained

So after back/deadlift days, your back will be strained.

After leg days I can barely squat down on to the toilet.

    Depends on the person innit.

I only get DOMS if I have haven't worked out for a couple of weeks or more. so if I got lower back pain after deadlifts during a normal training phase, i'd be pretty concerned

We're pretty used to feeling soreness in other areas of our body. Legs might be sore after running a marathon, arms sore after carrying boxes around all day, etc. But lower back soreness tends to be associated with an injury - we're not used to it being a healthy feeling. Furthermore, even if people have worked out before, they most likely haven't done anything that targets the lower back at all, so it can be very strange for them. I remember the first time I got DOMS from deadlifts, I was pretty scared I'd ****ed my form up. Turns out the form was fine, and now I love it.

    Exactly.

Seriously if you have genuinely hurt your back you will be able to do **** all. Speaking from experience, DMOS in the lower back hurts but it is distinctly different from '**** my back is ****ed' pain.

Been happening to me lately as I progress with heavier weight. I equate it to the feeling after my biceps pumping up and I can't really stretch out my arm fully. Feels the same way in my back and the muscles feel pumped as fukc.

Anyways the rest of the day I find it really hard to bend over or use my lower back at all, even lowering myself down to pick something off the floor will be a big effort. I guess you could associate it with pain, usually only lasts the same day or possibly most of the next day and then goes. feels like strain

    ???
I have the same issue and mine comes from not stretching the lower back area. The tight lower back area is sometimes attributed to tight hamstrings. try stretching your lower back, glutes before and after your back workout. You should feel better.

    goodluck

OP sounds like your starting to cross a very fine line of muscle soreness and a lumbar strain. If there is genuine pain when trying to bend of and touch your toes, then thats a legit injury.

I'm going through a lumbar strain right now....DO NOT fcuk around with this. I highly suggest checking your ego and lowering the weight a bit. It will seriously fcuk you up and put you out for a long while.

something is pushing on that nerve, muscle inflammation, a protruding disc. You got this checked out?
