SW Florida's Strongest Man 2011 - March 26th

Southwest Florida's Strongest Man 2011 is just a couple of weeks away. This promises to be a great contest with special guest appearance by Callie Best from Marunde-Muscle, IFBB Professional Bodybuilding and Mr. Universe Bob Chic on the microphone, and live radio/web broadcast from the event. The head judge will be me (ASC Pro Strongman Tom Mutaffis).

Admission is 100% free and there is a large patio with full bar and great food for those who would like to come and see Florida's strongest men battle it out.

LIGHT-WEIGHT (LWY – 200lbs. and under)
MIDDLE-WEIGHT (MWY – 201-231lbs.)
HEAVY-WEIGHT (HWY232lbs. and up)

EVENTS:
1. Last Man Standing Log Press: (60 seconds time limit)
Women will use a 8” diameter log, all other competitors will be using a 12” diameter log. Three attempts maximum. Wessel Rules apply: (1) failed attempt and you are done with event. Log will start at 100lbs. for the Women and 220lbs. for the Men. All increases will be in 20lbs. increments! No exceptions! Competitor must wait for the “down” command from Judge. Elbow sleeves ok, belts ok, knee wraps and sleeves ok. Event will be complete when there are no competitors left to lift the log. All weight classes and divisions will be run simultaneously.

2. Frame Carry: (60 second time limit / 60’-0”)
Women: 350lbs
Novice, Masters, LWY: 500lbs.
MWY: 575lbs.
HWY: 650lbs.
Competitors will pick up and carry the frame 60’-0” within the (60) second time limit, unlimited drops allowed. No straps, no dragging the implement, no tacky, belt ok, wrist supports, ok, knee pads and wraps ok. Fastest time wins event.

3. Giant Truck Pull: (60 second time limit / 60’-0”)
Women: Will be pulling a (1) ton diesel pickup truck with the box loaded full of weight.
Novice, Masters, LWY, MWY, HWY:
Will be pulling a (10) ton flat bed semi.
Competitors will be standing pulling the truck backwards. A straight two foot metal bar will be used to pull the implement. Fastest time wins event.

4. Tire Flip: (60 second time limit / 80’-0”)
Women: 400lbs.
Novice, Masters, LWY: 600lbs.
MWY: 750lbs.
HWY: 1,000lbs.
Competitors will flip the tire end over end for 80’-0”. No tacky, no rolling the tire, no wobbling the tire, tire must be flipped. Any attempt to roll or wobble the tire will result in a disqualification and zero points for the event. Fastest time wins event.

5. Keg Load Medley: (60 second time limit / 50” platform)
Women will load a 170lbs. keg as many times as possible in (60) seconds.
Novice, Masters, LWY: 200, 220, 240, 260, 280
MWY: 240, 260, 280, 300, 320
HWY: 280, 300, 320, 340, 360
The kegs will be staggered away from the platform and competitors will pick up the keg, walk over to the platform and load the keg onto the bed on a flat bed semi. Fastest time wins event.

AWARDS: Awards given for places 1st – 3rd
