    Weight Gain after a binge.

-On Tuesday morning I weighed in at 164 pounds@ the leanest I have ever been.
-That night I Had a crazy binge, like 4k over maintenance.
    -Woke up at 170.
    -Three days later 168. ****.
-Is it possible I gained 4 pounds of fat in one night? Or, will it just take a few weeks to return to normal?

*Should I do one PSMF day to try to recover from the damage?

What were your macros like when dieting? Low carb?

Most likely there was a bit of fat gain, which shouldn't be noticeable, but most of the weight would be from glycogen repletion/super compensation and any sub-Q retention from a spill over. Should return to homeostasis in about a week to week and half.

Shoulda used to new low as motivation

Not crazy low. But, I have been doing tones of cardio. I found my moms christmas baking in the freezer....**** got ugly haha. Feels depressed man; i still look entirely different than I did Tuesday morning. Do you think a single PSMF day would help?

If you went 4k over maintenance, you can't gain more than a pound or so of fat. No need to PSMF, these things when rare don't have that much impact as long as you go back to your regular intake after. You don't want to get in the binge/severe deficit cycle, just forget it and move on.

EDIT: And stay away from the scale, it'll just make you feel worse if you still have water retention. Check again after a few days or even a week.

u went 4000K over? the most u could have gained was about 1.3 pounds. but thats very unlikely. id say u might have gained less than a pound at most.

if u want to recover from being carb bloated then id increase my water intake and cut back on carbs for a little bit. but that just going to affect ur scale weight. if u were to just get back on ur usual grind ur weight would stabilize within a week or 2.

dont do anything drastic, stay off the scale, hit the weights hard, and u'll be fine. jsut remember, in the whole scheme of things what you do 1 day wont matter. its what u do continually that will determine how u look.

Binging tends to cause temporary increase in weight due to bloating or water retention. As long as this binge isn't habitual, you shouldn't freak out.
Short term Goal: To cut back before bulking like a demon.
Mid term Goal: To find myself.
Long term Goal: To get what's mine.

67 lbs in 9 years and still counting... (started at 100lbs)

OP said baked goods. It's pretty easy seeing as how your typical brownie is over 400 calories

Thank god I saw this thread.

I just went into the unknown with what I was eating from KFC, calculated the calories afterwards (genius!!) and it left me 2k over maintenance for the day. Been cutting.
So I'm not going to gain too much fat? I have been freaking out and so pissed at myself.

Nope. The most you would have gained is .57 lbs. I would guess you'll feel a little jiggly and bloated but it tends to go away after about a week or so of typical eating. Don't stress too terribly much.
