So I took advantage of the offer of $10 off MP products and bought MP's Comabat Powder and heard great things about the CnC flavor so I said why not and bought one 4lb tub. Here is my review along with some pics
Price: At the time I paid I think like $24.99 plus shipping for 52 servings is a good deal to meal. Without the $10 off offer the regular price is $34.99 per 52 servings which comes out to a .67 which is a great deal.
Profile: Looking at the profile it is pretty solid consisting of fast and slow absorbing protein so this can be used before bed, post workout, MRPs etc. With only 2.5g of Fat, 5g of Carbs & 24g of protein anybody should be able to fit this in their macros whether cutting or bulking.
Taste: I have to say this is one the best tastinc CnC protein powders i've had. I used it in both whole milk and water and it taste great in both forms of course the better though being in whole milk. It taste just like a CnC powder should taste. Not over powering & chemical tasting and is spot on in the CnC flavor. I know some proteins are labeled a flavor and they don't even taste like the flavor....not in this case. MP Combat CnC is def my fav CnC flav protein. I mix Combat in 8 oz water or milk and the texture is smooth and rich. It isn't to think or thin but has a good balance.
Mixabilty: So I had some issues with mixability. When I would just use a shaker cup and the little wired blender ball I would have to shake pretty hard to get it to mix good cause if not I would have clumps that weren't mixed good and this was in both water and milk. I used my magic bullet on occasions when mixing in almond butter and it mixed perfectly with that. Only issue I had was the clumping when I didn't shake it rigorously other then that no real issues and would say it mixed pretty good ecept for the above mentioned.
Miscellaneous: I didn't know how to label this but one of the bigger issues I had with Combat Powder was the scooper. To me it's just such an akward shape for a scooper that I found myself on some occasions spilling some powder on counter tops when I would throw some in my shaker cup or put it in smaller items like my magic bullet blender cup and it was really annoying personally. I wish MP went with the basic scoop shape instead of this akward looking thing.
Would I buy it again? Yea I wouldn't see why not. Taste great, good competitive price & is a solid profile.
Here are some pics that I included. Thanks for reading.
