    Best P/C/F ratio for me?

I'm about 5'11" and 178 lbs. Starting my bulk on Monday. Numerous sites have said I need ~3,000 calories. What would be the best ratio for me? 30/50/20? Do you know of a calculator that will figure out the amount of grams I will need for P, C, and F?

Percentages and ratios should not be used. Absolute numbers based on body weight and lean body mass only.

    Calculating Calorie Needs and Macronutrients

Fat - .45g+ per lb of bodyweight
Protein - 1-1.5g per lb of LBM
Carbs - The extra stuff, have as many as you want. The correct amount is however much makes you feel the best and gives you sufficient energy. For optimal perfectionist results generally the remainder of calories should come from carbs.

    Okay, so that's:

    80g of Fat
    200g of Protein
    370g of Carbs

I used the 4, 4, 9 for finding out how many grams I needed of each. Does this mean I don't really have to count calories, as long as I get those amounts of each every day?

Your number numbers add up to 3,000 calories, so in theory yes you would not need to count calories if you hit those exact numbers everyday. Keep in mind there is nothing wrong with trading some carbs for fat or protein if your taste buds desire.

I don't understand how that happened, I just copy and pasted myself over and over again because the same dam topic kept coming up.

Counting macros is counting calories, just not directly
