    Protein Before Bed... Yes or No

    I was wondering if it's ok to eat protein before you go to bed, or should you avoid it

    Keep calories the same everyday, don't bother with carb/calorie cycling because what matters in reality is the net add up overtime, i.e throughout a week(s). If you are an active trainee nutrient partitioning should be in your favor. You are recovering and growing on your off days, so supply your body the nutrients it requires.

    I keep my protein the same on my off days and workout days. On my workout days I have a Casein protein shake about an hour and a half before bed.

    No need to be exactly casein, just have what ever, Steak, eggs, chicken, yogurt, whey, etc.

    I eat every 3 hours - and before bed I have a 300g pot of cottage cheese which stops me getting hungry in the night as it slowly releases proteins.
