    Knee Sleeves - Aware Me

OK been running MadCows for a few weeks now. Starting to feel it a bit in my knees, taking glucosamine sulphate etc but wondered if knee sleeves during workouts may help? I train in long tracksuit bottoms anyway so my knees are always covered but would knee sleeves help further keeping the joint warm?

    Cheers as per
"The hardest part in lifting, is NOT to lift..." - Me

    First meet results:
    Squat 140kg (+15kg PR)
    Bench 130kg (+10kg PR)
    Deadlift 185kg (+25kg PR)

    Second meet results:
    Squat 175kg (+5kg PR)
    Bench 140kg (= PR)
    Deadlift 210kg (+5kg PR)

The neoprene material they are made of really help to keep the knee joint warm and consequently well lubricated. I just bought the Tommy Kono's. 40 for the pair. Definitely a good idea to try to preserve the knees in the long run.

    Thumbs up

^^^ I have Tommy Konos too and they are awesome. Wear them whenever I squat or push press & they've made a huge difference.

About a year ago, I spent $75 on some Rehband sleeves. Best investment I've ever made.

Knee soreness on squats dropped about 90% immediately.

I would strongly recommend not keeping them in your gym bag though between sessions. Mine stay soaked with sweat if I do that. I have to take mine out every session.

My knees make popping and cracking sounds every time I squat. An added benefit of my Tommy Konos is that they help to muffle the sound.... :P

The noise doesn`t bother me, I like to sing "I`m so pretty" from West Side Story at the top of my voice when I squat.
