How do I delete blank dead space from the end of an mp3 song?

I downloaded an mp3, its like 10 mins long but 5 mins at the end is just empty space. How do I delete it? Can I do it without downloading a program?

There's a free audio editing program called Audacity. Bring your track in, select the song leaving out the dead space, then export it. Or select the dead space, delete it and export.

Edit-Just seen the part about not downloading. There's no way I know of.

If you can't do that, just adjust the period where you want the song to stop playing in iTunes.

Do you use itunes? Just right click the song and look through it, it gives you options for a start and end time
