The biggest secret in life is not that we go through life discovering ourselves but that we go through life creating our selves. Think about that.

Some doc years ago when I was in high school.
Why? Uh...I guess because I had a piss poor attention span (not as bad now with age, but still sub par I think) and could not hardly sit still. I don't sit still well but was apparently pretty bad back then.
But whatever, at this point it doesn't matter.

dont know how you do it. most of my marks in school/uni are form last minute revision. sometimes i do a little early on with good intention but generally i leave it until i am forced to. i wonder how different my scores/intelligence would be if i could sit like that and study solidly for long periods of time.

I can read a paragraph or two in a textbook and then have no idea what I just read. Pisses me off. If it is something that does not interest me and does not come naturally it is a lot of work to truly digest the information. This is probably normal, but it still pisses me off lol

I have ADHDTV. Was diagnosed in middle school along with bipolar disorder. This is one of the reasons I enjoy lifting so much, it allows me to release all that built up energy inside of me.
I think as I matured my attention span progressed too, but there are still times when I daze off.
Its a theory that ADD/ADHD is an adaptation mechanism for multitasking. All the technology we are exposed to today opens the doors to some serious multitasking, hence, ADD/ADHD.
Edit- I have the full Heavy Grips set. I forgot how they compare to the IM ones. Set goes from 150 all the way to tree fiddy. Just about closed the 250. Don't really use them much though.Journal: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=139898123&page=240

Hadn't heard that before. I think I am pretty good at multitasking. I interviewed for a dispatch (public safety) position once. One of the questions was if I thought I was good at multi tasking. I said yes. They (3 person board) then asked why I thought that and if I had examples. I said I used to work at Taco Bell in the drive through and I would have to talk to the person at the speaker in order to take their order and, quite often, also talk to the other employees in the store at the same time...or the person at the window...or all three at once while also making change and bagging food and whatever else. They looked surprised and flat out said that was a very good example. Sweet.
Also, this might sound silly, but I think multi tasking is, in a way, one of the reasons I dominate most people on call of duty. I have no problem watching the screen, moving around, fighting, etc while simultaneously watching the heads up display (when not in hardcore) to track the movements of my teammates within the map in order to determine where enemies are likely to be/not be, notice when the guy behind me disappears even though I didn't hear or see anything, etc.

Yeah. I haven't picked mine up in a while either.
I have all of them from #1 up to #3 including the .5s. I've closed all of them except the #3. I have it in a choker right now and closed it fairly regularly until I opened the choker up a couple of mm.
I might have to give them a squeeze tonight now that I'm thinking about them. See where I stand with them.

Makes perfect sense. My example would be texting while driving a 5 speed and talking to the passenger while changing the music on my ipod. Don't neg me, it all depends on the person, I'm a very good driver/multitasker. Don't really do this anymore anyway, its illegal in this state anyways now.
Haha nice. I play BFBC2 (computer on steam). I also mow mother phuckers down and am usually the top player on my team. Used to be a phucking PRO at CS 1.6.Journal: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=139898123&page=240

It's been shown that people make more mistakes and work slower while multitasking, even people who claim to be very good at multitasking.
Drives me nuts when my GF tries to knit and watch tv at the same time.Journal: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=153427731&page=1

Semantics
For purposes of this discussion we don't give a shit if we are technically doing both tasks at once or are in reality just really good at switching back and forth so quickly that the end result is exactly the same as if we were actually multi tasking.
Also, considering that this tangent was created as a result of the ADHD thing those articles seem to support the position that being good at "multi tasking" and having ADHD tende ncies go hand in hand.

FYI that example I gave you of me driving also included me smoking weed out of my bubbler. My anecdotal evidence > LIME's ghey ass links.
