Ending my 4-5 day binge now. Besides hunger pains is there really any reason not tot jump start my weight loss with a 40+ hour fast.
I don't need to hear, "Just eat at a regular deficit and get back on track like a normal person, no need to put yourself thorough that long of a fast."
Just yes or no, can this directly, not indirectly effect me in a negative manner.
Thank you.

i would do a 24 hour fast, followed by a small meal than another 24 hour. I don't really know but fasting that long may negate some of the advantages and invoke some of the disadvantages. Do some research and find out more.
I fast 22-23 hours every day... no problems here
OH BTW
i don't really see how it will 'jumpstart' your weight loss other than maybe from a mental perspective????
Im not certain if it will help your particular situationBumblebeetuna

just keep protein moderate, fats and carbs low and eat alot of fibrous veges?
drink alot of water and eat alot of fibre would seem the way to go imo... if your gonna do 2 24 hour fast and limit caloric intake. This would have a chance of going some ways to clearning out the system a bit. Hell, you might feel a little better?Bumblebeetuna

Something happened to putting me into "don't give a fukc mode." This won't happen again, I have strong will.
Sorry if I sound like an idiot but I still don't follow. Far as I know subcutaneous water = water held in the body by skin, muscles etc.Control group crew membership revoked 7/5/2022 1:50pm PST not proud.

I did a 36 hour fast to jumpstart IF..... just to get my head into it
Was actually not bad at all.... I just drank tea and water. Felt really refreshing after a weekend of eating out and too much wine. What's Spicy Training For?? LIFE MOTHER F-ER!

I don't think his studies are BS. I follow his version of IF for the most part.
I disagree with his opinion on BCAA's.
I disagree with regulating the size of pre/post workout meals for any other reason then personal preference.
I disagree with the need for the first meal of the day on non training days to be highest in protein.Last edited by Joseph1990; 02-27-2011 at 10:20 PM.

I said what I said above. What words I used you can't expect me to rember but that is what I wanted to get across.
I ended by saying to research it for himself. Take what he reads from the leangains site and decide for himself what he wants to follow or not follow. I feel this is how every study should be approached. Always be skeptical and ask yourself questions. Follow up with your own research to make a concrete conclusion.
PS: I referred him to IF/Leangains site on a regular basis for over 2 weeks.Last edited by Joseph1990; 02-27-2011 at 10:33 PM.
