Creatine - Particular Water Intake Question

I've been taking creatine for about 5 weeks (4.5g total- 3g mono from taking jack3d and 1.5g from kre-alkalyn). More specifically, I take 4.5g four times a week and 1.5g three times a week due to days I'm not taking jack3d.

I just realized my water intake has been well under the 1 gallon/day recommendation.

I've probably been having half of that and I'm worried I could be doing damage to my body

Does milk count towards the 1 gallon or water taken with vitamins?

Here's my problem...I've been cutting for 3-4 weeks now because I'm going on a cruise one week from today. I'm worried that if I suddenly up my water intake to where it should be at I will get bloated.

    How should I address this?

Generally drinking more water makes you lose more water weight as your body is quick to get rid of it as it senses more than enough is coming in. When you don't drink enough your body will hold onto the water inside you for longer.

Milk counts, water with vitamins counts, etc.

If you can cut out counting milk and still reach the 1gallon, you're great.

Just up your intake. The cruise is likely to dehydrate you as well, on top of you already not drinking enough fluids, so be sure to drink enough while you're on the ship (and by enough, I mean more than you would unconsciously, make an effort to drain as much water as possible).

Yes its true...drink water to lose water. Drink less and your body will fight to hold it. Its some type of defense mechanism.
