I weigh 175 and bulking. I've read that you should consume at least 3-4 g of clean carbs per pound of bw. That means 525 g of carbs for me. The only realistic way I can achieve this is by eating 7.25 cups of oatmeal along with yams. Is that too much oatmeal? Is eating too much oatmeal bad for you?

To much of anything is bad for you. As far as I understand it all grains have protiens in them that are similar to some proteins found in our body. If you gut is not functioning properly your immune system will attack these proteins and the similar ones in you body. This causes diseases like arthritis. Brown rice is a better carb because of this. As long as you are healthy, I wouldn't worry about it too much, but try to mix it up as much as possible.
