I just caught up with the decimation episode. I don't know what was more brutal, that or what the freed slaves did to the Roman captives. It was one long gorefest. I'm really disliking Naevia right now though. Bitch needs to die.

It was an awesome episode for sure. In some respects I am really liking Caesar, but other times not so much. Still loving the strategic prowess of Crassus.

I agree, I think he would defeat Spartacus as well, although Spartacus is no joke himself.

Gannicus truly is my favorite character on that show. It doesn't hurt that the scenes in which he is not kicking ass usually have Saxa in them, who might be one of the sexiest women on TV right now.

He won me over when he fought the dude blind folded. That was sick!

Last nights episode was OK, Crixus is starting to piss me off, although he held that sh!t down against 5 Romans!

I'm still catching up on the series, into Vengance (s3) and I have to thank this thread for getting me into it. Watching it on my iPad as I do my cardio in the morning and it def helps pass the time. Liked the original actor that played spartacus better but this one is growing on me. So far Gannicus has my favorite line "I leave for wine and company of questionable women"

I liked Crixus initially (doesn't hurt that he doesn't suck to look at...) but this season I'll agree he is getting annoying (thanks mostly to Naevia). He really did have a good character arc - he was an ass to begin with but he was sympathetic and Gods of the Arena made him more so. But that arc has gone down the crapper. Have to say I'm enjoying Manu Bennett more as Slade Wilson in Arrow at the moment.
Gannicus is probably my favourite character on Spartacus, I'll agree with most of you there.

Finally got a chance to watch the episode last night, yeah it seems like every time that Spartacus opens his mouth, Crixus looks at him all wide eyed with a "the f**** you say?" expression on his face. He and Navia really are made for each other.

A couple of things in the episode made no sense, but since our friends across the pond haven't seen it I won't mention them yet.

Just put ******SPOILER ALERT********* before the passage. I am curious as to what you found to make no sense.

So near the beginning of the episode they show how people trying to cross the trench from Spartacus' side were just being slaughtered by the Praetorian Guards on the wall. I know the storm was pretty damn bad, but how did those same guards not see or hear all the noise that had to have been going on when the slaves built the human bridge that was required for Spartacus to cross to kill the same guards. That would have taken a long time, and somebody should have been able to see something. Or did I miss a scene (I was cooking a steak while watching)?

They only built the wall after they killed the Romans, remember they went into the Romans camp twice. I also believe they built the human bridge to confuse Crassus into thinking that was their way in. Remember they climbed the wall and then broke it open to allow other slaves in.

That makes sense, see I thought they had crossed the human bridge, then used the grapples to get up the wall at that point, what you are saying is a more believe-able timeline.

That scene when Crixus fought the 6 Romans (after they called them cowards) was awesome don't you think?

Also the fight between Spartacus and Crixus was kool as well.

Yeah Crixus hulks the **** out like the best of them. I was a bit concerned that they were going to hurt or kill him though.

Spartacus is a hard mofo, that jug was filled with what looked to be nearly frozen through water and he got up and just looked at Crixus with a "damn you just ****ed up son" look on his face.

I will say this, I'm getting a little tired of the little slave girl that has a crush on Gannicus. It's starting to cut into naked Saxa time.

I thought Navia was going to die.

How do you think Crassus knows every move the rebels are making? his slave? I think she told him about his son and they plotted this together.

Nah he does know, not even a guess, he knows exactly what they were doing. He knew Spartacus and Crixus separated, that Crixus was headed to Rome with his followers and that Spartacus was going to cross the mountains with the remaining followers....

He tracks their movements with scouts. Remember that the slave army is something like 100,000 people. Not hard for someone to spy on them from far away and report back.

Man rough episode, wish they would have not shown the reflection at the end. Everybody knew what was going to happen, didn't need to actually see Crixus lose his head at the hands of that little douchebag rapist. I agree there has to be an inside source. It has to be someone close to the slave generals though, or one who would have direct contact with one of them, plus the ability to move about without detection in order to get the word out, or the intelligence/knowledge to use a dead-drop of sorts. The only three I can think of is the Roman aristocrat woman, the Salacian, or the slave girl as you say. I'd make the bet, but I think you may be right.

That makes sense! She still harbors a lot of resentment/hatred for Spartacus because of the death of her husband. I was also very confused when the slave girl all of a sudden "defected" after plotting with Caesar. Damn, this is why I would never make a good detective.

Can't wait for the next episode. Tiberius is about to get his ass handed to him.

That's how I'm feeling. Downloaded te entire series a few weeks ago and have been catching up as I did my cardio. Just finished watching the fall of Crixus. Series is awesome but with breaking bad and spartacus ending this year I've got to find a few new shows to watch.
