okay so im 85.555% sure the problem with the sever is because of port forwarding.

The server worked because i ran it from my school laptop... which means i cant run it 24/7.

So ima shut the server down today then tommorow ill format the other laptop and try to port forward again.

Lettuce just hope that works.. then we will have our very own first misc server.



There were 4 people in todays server and according to them there was no lag. So its looking good for now. ill keep using this server mod and figuring it out but i might change eventually if i or someone else finds a better one.

Do the more latest option, since there will probably be more support running around it, since most people update their OS' for the new features

if you really want a server, they start at $15 a month for dedicated hosting and they wont lag for you or anyone else. i could help you set it up if you need it

what youre doing currently might be ok but im a bit skeptical in regards to lag haha

well with 4 people there was no lag...

And i doubt im gonna have more then 6 at a time.

So hopefully its all goood.

I get hiccups too not sure what exactly to do to fix them, but I don't get them very often.

So im trying to build a map by using OMAN map maker. Its working good, problem is it creates a wall around the map which pretty much kinda lag's you and the server. I'm trying to make it so that you can only dig 2 spaces deep.

Srs if you guys are interested in a minecraft server i have mine up and its already populated with people playing and its 24/7 dedicated Dual core E6600 w/ 4gb RAM box(my old gaming PC) running MineOS on my 20/5 Internet. For those that dont know its the fastest way possible to run Minecraft as the world is ran in a RAM-DRIVE and backed up locally to a regular drive.

You guys are welcome to come...dont bother being jerkoffs and griefing because i will ban and have mods to undo anything you blow up anyways.
And you will get added to the global ban list that a lot of servers are starting to use(the good servers) and be banned from all those servers as well.

Its a SMP Server not a Creative server(requires you own Minecraft)
Only rules are
1) Dont destroy other peoples stuff
2) If your building something, do it away from other peoples stuff so they have room to expand.
3) Dont build over peoples stuff without asking(sky bridges, etc).
4) There are some friends kids playing on the server, so try to keep the vulgarity down. Im rather lax on it just dont go crazy.


I also host the dynamic map plugin so you can see up to date real time map and player locations.
(The black squares are because people havent altered that terrain yet so it hasnt taken an image). It updates on a tile by tile basis as people add or remove blocks within an area. I know it works in Google Chrome and IE9 beta, and the newest firefox too i believe. If it doesnt show the map and is just black try the latest Chrome.

If you wanna send people this direction Moh in your first post that'd be great. Your not gonna be able to support that many people on a laptop, 4-6 max.

Just got an account last night. Been playing on another server. Spent 5 hours just mining under my friends' glass house. The mine was ridiculously massive and in depth.

Logged in this morning to find it griefed - top layer of the mine / stairs going down into the mine has been flooded (glass house is in the middle of a lake).

What's the MISC server IP?

I wanna make a massive underground cavern as my first... "build."

After that I wanna make a plane.

Oh and every so often I want to make a massive river.
