I took a look at my lifestyle/routine and tried to figure out why I was stuck at 11% bf. Well lets see..
-I only lift, no cardio
-I eat a lot of carbs a night, and if theres free food around (which is often) I eat it like theres no tomorrow.
-I drank 20+ beers a week...thats like an extra pound of fat.
In summary...my diet was lazy, I was drinking a lot, and I did zero cardio.
WHAT I CHANGED:
-I only drink 1 day a week now...and I limit that to 3 drinks (I have to have fun cmon!)
-Absolutely 0 carbs after 5pm, unless I lift. Then I allow myself 40g carb right after the workout and none after
-1 hr of cardio (HR 130) every single day
-**** load of ab work.
I started at 196 lbs and am down to 191 lbs in just 1 week....looking bigger.
I will update this weekly to show progress. Goal weight is 180...ya u gonna lol @ the weight but I will look like 200.

What? If a 12 oz beer has 140 calories and he was drinking 20+, that's 2800+ calories (or a full days worth of calories). I would certainly say that it would contribute to gaining weight. I know the whole "calories in vs calories out" debate, but I think it's safe to assume that if someone consumes 2800 calories in alcohol, it's going to have some negative affects on weight. Unless they were added into his macros, which it doesn't sound like they were.
Everything depends upon execution; having just a vision is no solution.
Performance and performance alone dictates the predator in any food chain.

lol yes it does those things, buuuuut.
The calories from alcohol is not what makes you fat.
Alcohol changes the way you burn fat.
After consuming large amounts of alcohol your body begins to burn "acetate", a by product of the alcohol.
So instead of your body burning carbs, and fats, it's working on burning away all that acetate. When you stop striving for perfection, you might as well be dead.

OP btw not trying to put a damper on your parade, lol
but the 5lbs in the first week was most likely loss of glycogen and water weight.
I've found to get to low low bodyfat such as 6% (unless your naturally ecto/skinny fuk)
is consistency. When you stop striving for perfection, you might as well be dead.
