hahaha i was in the same boat as you bro. i applied to 4 places and only Mcd's called back..anyways . i had the first interview (of my life) today, she asked me general questions like "why mcdonalds?" or "why do you think we should hire you" and some other customer shiit like "what is customer satisfaction" or "this customer did blah blah blah. how would you react in the situation." and stuff. she also took notes on how i dressed, the way how i communicated and stuff.

If it's just retail or a restaurant job and not a career job then don't wait for them to call you back cause a lot of the time they won't. You're just another application. Go in, request to see manager, introduce yourself, say you wanted to do a follow up on your application and to make sure they got everything. It shows initiative and motivation which makes you stand out.
Maybe I'm wrong but where I live everybody is like "mehhh recession i can't get a jobbbbb". I've applied at two places and kept showing up at those two places over and over and got hired at both. (Autozone and Polo) I go in and buy something for 5 bucks and "o btw is a manager around that I can talk to?" boom.

I worked at a Mcdicks for a month and I hated it because I hate the food and uniforms.
I just went in, bought a "grilled" chicken salad for $5, asked for manager and got insta-interviewed. after a month working there I stopped showing up cuz they can S my D. at that time I mustve went through 5 jobs within a couple months b4 I settled where I am now which is food prep/dishwasher for 14/hr. lolwut
fuark cant wait to get a real job. trying to get in to power engineering.
