    what muscles do you use to jump higher

    didn't get any good answers in the misc so i was wondering which muscles you use to jump mostly. thanks.

    Its the misc what did you expect.

    Anyways quads, hamstrings and calves but a lot of it is technique.

    Glutes, hams, calves, quads, hip flexors. But jump is not all about muscles u need flexibility and mobility with proper technique to jump and land. Jump (plyometric deep jump) is one of the most complex bw exercises.

    Along with what the others said, your whole posterior chain comes into play. That's why heavy deadlifting, power cleans, squats, etc are good in anyone's routine because of the functional strength. If you imitate the motions, the vertical jump is very similar to the power clean.
