I was one of Dennis' biggest fans after the 2007 Mr. Olympia. In fact, I was 100% sure that he would take the Sandow from Jay in 08. But as we all know, that didn't happen. Instead 08 was the starting point for Wolf's decline. And IMO, he has not fully come back from despite his 5th at last year's Olympia.
And it absolutely amazes me that people are still saying he deserved 3rd, 2nd or even the win at the Flex Pro. Clearly I am not seeing what you guys are seeing. He was the same weight as he was at the Olympia with worse conditioning and worse colour.
IMO, Wolf was lucky to get 4th.

There are obvious reasons to like Wolf. He's a great bodybuilder. He should have been top 3 from the pics. Calves are, well, not good at all. He has a long torso which can be distracting in some poses but he is a monster. BDB pose is unreal. I was impressed w/ his lat spread from the pics. All other poses he looked great. Hammies need more meat (from side poses it's obvious). All in all I thought he'd be in the top three spot but again, this is judging from the pics.

Pac man was a great bodybuilder, but your insane if you don't see something funky in his delts.
I reasonably had Wolf in second or third, and could have seen him winning.
Shame on you Davis for not posting comparison pictures, how are single pictures going to prove your point?Frustrated at bodybuilding? Read my rant:

Don't know if he's overhyped, but he was definitely off. Guy seems to take one step forwards and then two steps back. I could definitely see how some think that he should have placed higher. He's a big giant dude and he's a major star in the sport and in a subjective sport those things matter. He didn't have a good showing this time out, but his fans are gonna give him some extra "what if" points to explain why he should have done better. I think we all do that when it comes to our favorite athletes.
**better color and a better haircut could have helped him out some as well. Didnt seem to have enough oil or color on.

Wolf made back and leg improvements since the O. His Quads looked retarded and he won all the comparisons from the back. His color during the prejudging was really bad. How can you do that at that level?
Just that his conditioning was off... but he's not on the decline, he got bigger!
I think he should have got 3rd for not being on, but you can make an argument for 4th, 2nd or even 1st. I'm not sure Evan should have won though, he still has a glaring weakness in his chest, although he made great improvements. Great showing for Fouad, guy was on.

Sorry, was in a rush. I was going to throw up some comparisons as well but had to get to work.
Not sure how people can say 3rd or better when he can't even win in this line-up.
I'll admit, Wolf's FDB is quite good here and beats Fouad and Ben.
Ben kills the FLS! No competition whatsoever. Vastly thicker in the lower body than anyone, equal or slightly better conditioning than Wolf with a slightly thicker upper body, most notably in the chest and delts. And again, I'll admit, Wolf beats Fouad here. FLS is probably Fouad's weakest pose, IMO.
Both Ben and Fouad trump Wolf here. Wolf may have the biggest legs, but they lack the separation of Fouad and Ben, and again, his terrible color is really hurting him too. Both beat him on the upper body. Wolf is not presenting his chest very well at all and his delts and arms lack any kind of detail/separation whatsoever. Not even close IMO.
IMO, Fouad was the most dominant from the back in the entire competition. Wolf may have a very well developed upper back, but Fouad matched him and had a superb mid/lower back to go with it. Throw in peeled glutes and hams and Fouad wins, no doubt. Pak lost to Wolf in the RDB.
Just like the FLS, it's no competition. Ben may lack a good RDB, but his spreads are phenomenal. Thickest man waist down with the most developed, lowest inserting, widest back to match. In this case, I would have Fouad over Dennis. Wolf just looks so underdeveloped in his RLS lately and he is getting crushed by Fouad's conditioning and colour.
Once again, I think Wolf's colour and conditioning is really hurting him here. If he had nailed it, and came in darker, it may have been a different story. But he didn't. He has the biggest legs from the side, but they lack detail. His core is not as tight as Fouad or Ben's, and his upper body lacks the detail/separation of them as well.
Well, I am not going to beat around the bush with this... I hate Wolf's abs/thigh. Other than his quads, I honestly think he looks skinny. His long tibia looks terrible with no calves, and IMO, is being beat by every single person in this line-up.
Supposedly Wolf's best pose and I think he is still getting beat. I know I sound like a broken record here, but Fouad's conditioning and colour was so good that he had an advantage on Wolf in every pose, including this one. Fouad's aesthetics here are crazy. Great traps, delts, arms, core and legs. And Ben... he is f*cking massive here! Thick from head-to-toe with equal conditioning as Wolf but with better colour.
So in summary, I think Wolf won the FDB, beat Fouad in the FLS and Ben in the RDB. Everything else, they beat him.
It was not close IMO, and like I said, Wolf was lucky to get 4th. Ben should have beat him.
Overall, I am still pretty happy with the judging. I am not freaking out on them, I just don't get what it is about Dennis that they like so much.Bench: 215x12 (17/12/2011) PR since torn RC

Looked at Nationality, looked at what was written below username. Didn't read
Honestly though out of those 3 I saw it like this:
FDB: Wolf - Fouad - Ben
FLS: Wolf - Ben - Fouad
SC: Fouad - Ben - Wolf
BDB: Fouad - Wolf - Ben
RLS: Fouad - Ben - Wolf
ST: Fouad - Wolf - Ben
AT: Fouad - Wolf - Ben
MM: Ben - Wolf - Fouad
I think I agree with the order the judges have placed them in. I was extremely impressed with Fouad, the improvements he's made are astounding. Wolf wont be messing around when it comes to the Arnold though, I think he's waiting to peak then.EPO all in my veins; Lately things just don’t seem the same; Actin’ funny, but I don’t know why; ’Scuse me while I pass this guy.

wolf...
I am a bit of a fan of wolf's structure with a few exceptions. i think there are a few spots that hold him back with the judges. I like the longer torso, but his high lat insertions that contribute to the X frame also hold him back when doing some of the lat poses.
....I used to love his MM until davis had to point out the damn calves....not it bugs the hell out of me...shucks.
Legs are huge, with a little more separation and bigger calves, and more work on the color I think that makes all the difference in the world.
