I just found out that this happened to my friend in who lives in Brooklyn. This story is true.

On the morning of 2/17 around 5am 4 police officers with automatic weapons busted down his front door and made their way to his room. He woke up and a few seconds later he stood up to see what the noise was. 2 cops ran into his room looked at him and one of the cops ran towards him and tackled him. They put him in handcuffs originally but because he was yelling and asking what he did wrong they tied his legs as well and carried him out to their car. They took off to the police station without closing his front door. Eventually he was able to talk to someone and he was told that the police were tipped off that he had marijuana in his house. 2 hours later the police returned to the station with all the marijuana they found. 0.6 grams. (for everyday users that amount is basically enough to get high one time only). They tore up his entire house to look for that. He spent 14 hours in jail and charged him with posession and intent to sell. (they found plastic bags on the counter in the kitchen and claimed he was going to use the bag to bag up weed to sell.

It really pisses me off that something as simple as a plant can be illegal. My friend is going to try to get a lawyer and take the police that tackled him to court.

Heres a story for you. When I was 21, I was pulled over, because the cop thought I was someone else. he asked if I had weed (he could smell it) I said yes, a half ounce (14 grams). He said okay, have a good night. Where I live, police would never waste their time on that. I know a few people who have been busted with grow ops, literally hundreds of thousands of dollars in weed and equipment, and were back home that very night after getting busted.

This never happened, it's impossible to be charged with 'intent to sell' with 0.6 grams.

The .6 g was charged with possesion. Intent to sell was because they found plastic bags one the counter near some crumbs

I used to live with a heavy smoker. I'll say ive smoked weed about 50 times in my life. Met a woman with COPD and I will never touch the stuff again. My brothers first love died in a car accident that was caused by marijuana. I don't need to google it to know its dangerous.

Bull**** story no way they raided a house out of a tip, without doing surveillance and having warrents that would require substantial evidence.
