Why do I feel better after having less sleep? (5/6 hours)

I swear too much sleep suckies. Feel depressed and energyless and sheet when I have 10 hours.

    ^ This.

You sleep goes through weird cycles.

Just think of it as light, dark, light, dark.

Alarm wakes you up when you're in a light sleep then bam you'll wake up, stretch, get out of bed and start the day, because you're brain is already closest to being awake anyways.

Alarm goes off when you're in a deep sleep then you wake up feeling like ****. Just imagine your brain has a million corridors with millions of doors locked. When your brain wakes up during a deep sleep, your brain has to start unlocking every single door to wake up. Until every door is open and you're fully wide awake, it takes ages to actually open up every, single, door. That's why I feel like **** after waking up from a deep sleep, too many doors. Takes me around 45 minutes to actually wake up, as opposed to a light sleep when I can wake up after just a face wash/leak.

too much sleep is just as bad as too litte

    7-8 is the magic number

    what counts is rem sleep

i can blow your mind but you can achieve 7-8 hrs of sleep in 4-5 30min naps if you train your body right, the tradeoff is that you cant miss those naps at all

Cheers brah. But it's actually 6-7 that's the magic number. Studies show people who sleep an average of 8 hours are 12% more likely to die earlier than those who sleep 5-7 hours.
