You sleep goes through weird cycles.
Just think of it as light, dark, light, dark.
Alarm wakes you up when you're in a light sleep then bam you'll wake up, stretch, get out of bed and start the day, because you're brain is already closest to being awake anyways.
Alarm goes off when you're in a deep sleep then you wake up feeling like ****. Just imagine your brain has a million corridors with millions of doors locked. When your brain wakes up during a deep sleep, your brain has to start unlocking every single door to wake up. Until every door is open and you're fully wide awake, it takes ages to actually open up every, single, door. That's why I feel like **** after waking up from a deep sleep, too many doors. Takes me around 45 minutes to actually wake up, as opposed to a light sleep when I can wake up after just a face wash/leak.
