After just watching 3 Ferrigno movies back to back for reasons that escape me now I have to say while Arnold made more professional big budget blockbusters I think it's Lou's films that have that indefinable quality that will stand the test of time and still be relevant in 20 years.
First off we have Hercules. Now right away this is better than Arnolds own Hercules In New York becuase there isn't some weirdo lusting after Lou while doing a Woody Allen impression like there is in Arnolds movie, and also checkout this boffo acting...
FATHER!...... MOTHER!.....
Second we've got Sinbad and while there is some rather uncomfortable homoeroticism there's also a scene of Lou giving a motivational speech to a bunch of snakes so that he can tie them all together and use them as a rope so it kind of balances out.
Checkout this awesome review at avclub.com, it also comes with some great vid clips.

Lastly there is CAGE where Lou is shot in the head in vietnam and becomes a full on retard who is looked after by his NAM buddy who now runs a bar. Lou is then taken and forced to fight in underground Cage matches where he gets punched in his brain damage... or just where the bullet wound was I guess and has severe Nam flashbacks and hulks out and kills his opponent and then hugs the asian villain too hard and crushes his rib cage until he is quite dead. While this is happening his Buddy is also going on a full on killing spree of people who may or may not have been involved in Lous abduction to get Lou back, it's really kinda sweet.... I guess...
So yeah when Lou says that he and Arnold are the most famous Bodybuilders of all time I would tend to agree and I plan on seeing more of his "awesome" movies as soon as possible. But if you've seen them what did you think? And also which are his best?

I know, first a guy in a bad grizzly bear costume kills his dad and then a giant wasp made out of Lego bricks kills his mom. And I have to give it 10 out of 10 for the fact that he kills the poor bear by throwing it into outer space where it suffocates in the vacuum.
Having just watched it I can say it's way better than the first one, more action and cage fighting.
Apparently even though Lou killed the asian villain by hugging him too hard and breaking his spine and ribcage in the first film he's back for the sequel with absolutely no injuries at all and..... he's kidnapped Lou again to fight in his underground fight club! But this time he's actually injecting Lou with super steroids that not only cause him to be super powerful and mean but it's apparently that one steroid that fixes retardation because it heals the brain damage Lou got from being shot through the forehead in Nam. No joke.
Anyway thanks to the super steroids he's taking they have to start throwing two fighters at him at once to make it a fair fight. Check this fight scene I mean not even John Cena is booked to look this strong.
Also a woman kicks him in the nuts...
