    Are the insta Oats packets bad??

    I eat the high fiber insta oats packet, 160 calories/4g protein/7g sugar/10g dietary fiber, they can't be any worse than cereal, is the 7g sugar too much or are these packets pretty healthy to eat.

    i'd say it's fine. Even if you're eating two packets, 14 grams of sugar is less than a serving of fruit.

    I use Active Lifestyle Oatmeal Packets.. The nutritional facts for 1/2 cup oatmeal and 1 packet of this oatmeal are basically identical, so I go with the packet for convenience and better taste.

    Quaker Instant Oatmeal High Fiber Maple & Brown Sugar, I bought mine from Walmart they are kind of overpriced, $3 for 8 packets but I only eat 1 packet a day because I usually eat either a apple or a banana after I eat the oats.

    They lost some nutrients in the process compared to old fashioned but that doesn't make them bad. Good for convenience if you can't boil the original.

    I haven't tried it with water, I just open the packet put it in a bowl and add fat free milk and then put it in the microwave.
