In my country there have been people selling supplements via online which are much cheaper than most shops
I am worried that some of these might be fake products. Is there any way that i can differentiate fake and genuine products??

I have seen those "too good to be true" supps online, mainly from fishy looking online sites...which I have just typed into google for "user reviews" which will have PAGES of people saying to stay away from it that have been burned. I assume it would be the same for supps...type in the supp with user reviews and see what pops up.

$80-100 cheaper? Is that over a $200 order or $2000 order? Best thing to do is to just buy from an authorized dealer off the company's website. That doesn't 100% guarantee anything, but its a start in the right direction. I wouldn't just go with a "its too cheap, it must be bogus" mentality however though. How much margin you think there is in canned powders? Probably a hell of a lot...

These vendors sell the exact product like GNC with the same package. Just wondering whether the ingredient inside will be the same as origianl ones cause i have heard people substituting the whey with less whey plus other ingredient. (example : maybe they have only 70% whey instead of 100% and the other 30% are something useless)

So what you're saying is that the "stores" are selling FAKE BSN, MuscleTech, ON, etc products?
IMO the only way you'll be able to be 100% safe is to order from an approved online store. Buying in town would be out of the question IMO.Professional Wrestler

That's really not too out of the norm as GNC is outrageous. they also sell muscle milk for $49.95 and it can be found online from reputable dealers from $15-20 for the 2.5lb container (hence why I believe theres outrageous markup in this stuff).
Another way around this is to actually ask the company mfg of the product you're looking for if they have any distributors in your area. Then have them or yourself ask if they sell to X Y Z company you're looking at. There are lots of small shops who can't stock $10s-50,000 of product starting out and just buy from distributors at semi-wholesale prices (hence why they're called distributors lol ).Last edited by RSM87; 02-12-2011 at 06:58 AM.

What country?
I know in Korea, they have the numdaemoon market which is about100 dollars cheaper than GNC because GNC here is absurd and its 150 dollars for a 2 lb tub. Then the korean websites are much cheaper again.
All the korean websites are legitimate.
I know China, and India have concerns.
Again, what country?

I am staying in Malaysia. Here the only store that sells supplements is GNC. Others are online websites selling these products like www.fitnutritions.com which are selling about 80 bucks less than GNC which is why i am not sure whether they are genuine or not
