real questions is why do atoms want to join together and somehow form a concious being........
something as immatterial as atoms creates something as fundamental as consciousness lulz

Holy **** you are ignorant. You think all atheists believe the same ****? gtfo.
Most do believe in science and scientific theory/method however. I think its funny that lack of knowledge immediately makes people resort to some higher power. Science is by no means close to knowing everything, but it is gaining new knowledge at an incredible pace as technology advances.
Religious people, stop asking stupid questions that no one knows the answers to (as though its some proof of a higher power).

we're not one being but millions upon millions of tiny little organisms coexisting to form one unified creature, so the reasoning of death would be failure of one region of those organisms to work as designed to sustain themselves. so your scientific reasoning would be that, the organism ceases to perform as intended.

Your questions are going to be fundamentally flawed because you see it as "replicating" because you think a god did it, whereas in the minds of logical people science has no need to replicate it because science created it in the first place. Every single brain in existence is "replicated" by science. Atoms under perfect conditions joined together ages ago to form what we know as life, which slowly evolved to become what we see now. Brains included.

It depends on the cause of death. If you got hit by a car that probably had something to do with it lol. You're looking for something that isn't there.
Oh and btw the best way for me the describe what I think comes after death would be to compare it to the nothingness that you experience when sleep but don't dream. It seems like nothing happened in between well that void in between is what your so called "afterlife" is.
