I go to a university with over 30,000 students and I have never seen anyone dead lift over 405 at the gym.. Been here for 3 years too No one has ever squatted over 315 to parallel either
not to say that no one could.. there are some big ass dudes who just don't do those liftsWeighted pullups = 195 lbs x1
Weighted dips = 225 lbs x2
Squat = 405 x2

thats what I meant, sorry
I was actually about to use konstantin as an example. His form is generally seen as "bad" but its how his body is built. Contrary to what broscientists say, you dont have to lift a certain way to not injure yourself. If you get the weight up without doing stupid sh** like hitching, then its a legit lift.Best lifts (Don't lift for strength anymore. No more deadlifts or squats)

340 Squat Max
495 Deadlift Max

well it sounds like impressive to you is somebodys physique. a strong deadlift regardless of how they look is still impressive to me

At the same time I see skinny-ish guys with 300 benches and 300-400 squats too. Hell, most NBA players would probably fall into that category (the squat part). If you're looking for a single lift that would indicate degrees of swoleness you actually probably want one that uses as few muscles as possible. Ironically, barbell curls might be a good one... I've yet to see a guy curl 155+ who wasn't swole as fuk.
(I can deadlift 375-405, but can only curl 100s. And I'm a skinny ******* so... that lends support to my theory.)~ Never Having Kids So Can Save Up For a 4K TV and a PLP Computer Setup Crew ~

Hurt my back doing 565 during a state meet in high school and yes good form was used. Never looked back on them.
I have developed a awesome back without deadlifts. They do not even work a good portion of the lats and is more a lower back /trap movement. Ill just stick to lat exersises and shrugs and keep my spine discs from shredding again.//If you do not train legs then you are a doucher SRS//

I always thought of dead lift as the most basic show of strength and hence the mentality stuck.
Beats the f*ck outa me why it's a staple in any work out, it's like a squat with lower back added and hella more dangerous.

ITT OP doesn't deadlift and wants the misc to help him justify his decision.......he insults everyone who disagrees and writes "exactly!!!!!" after every post that supports his decision. Nobody cares what you do and 7 plates on each side of a bar being lifted is quite "impressive" whether you like it or not. Good luck with your fitness goals......
