"I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed."

I personally can not gain weight to save my life. It's been 3 years in training to put this much meat on. If I stop working out... I get so skinny.
Here's what I've been doing lately to gain weight.
Workout every morning for about 40 mins at 6:45 AM. Eat breakfast (egg whites, turkey sausage, and a slice of wheat toast). Then I go to work, slam a protein shake mid morning. Then Eat a clean healthy lunch, slam another protein shake mid afternoon, then go home and eat a normal dinner.
My problem is I play tennis and do a TRX class... so I'm staying lean, but I feel as though the morning workout is keeping the muscle on me. I do heavy weight about 8 reps.
It's working but I would love to put on 10 more lbs of solid muscle to be at 190 lbs. I'm 6'2 right now and weigh 180.

Bulk up to 180lb. I know that's a lot, since I started out from a natural weight of 140 in the summer...but i'd like to be up to about 170 by next summer.
I seem to gain weight REALLY fast when I eat more than usual, I guess all these years i've been even skinnier due to lack of protein and cals, but once I started upping them my weight sparked quick, I worked out for a few months, then stopped for a few, i've been back at it for about a week (lifting + eating a ton) and i'm up 5 lbs.
I only lost 5 lbs while I stopped working out because most of it turned to a bit of fat in my belly and I kept some muscle mostly in tricep.
I think I can be up to 160lbs definitely before April.

I am 6' 150 pounds and am not happy with my body at all. I have recently started working out everyday, eating as much as I can and taking protein supplements and this is the best I have felt yet. I would appreciate any tips or advise and would like to know if I am approaching this the proper way, thanks for all the motivation

you def need to eat MORE, your burning alot of calories, and protein shakes don't have that many calories anyway. Normally 120ish 110ish plus if you use milk thats arouns 130 calories for 2% milk 1 cup,
try doing this
1 scoop of protein whey
2 cups of milk 2%
2tblespn of pb
1 banana
thats around 660 calories!
eat eat eat, if you join our group there are diets listed and i will be adding more soon ,
if your not seeing results that means KEEP EATING, AND EAT MORE

first thing is first WOW, CONGRATS BRO. I took a look at your progress pictures.....YOU LOOK VERY LEAN, and cut. You will make such a good transformation. What are your goals???? You have a very nice foundation!
hmmm well first thing is protein shakes are good but its not better then real food! It is a start though i currently take 2 shakes a day, along with 6 meals which is perfect for me. You will do way better if you actually start counting your calories, protein, carbs, fats, this way you can have a layout of what your eating everyday, how much your eating and the macronutrients your consuming in a given day. That way you can easily see what needs fixing, such as may needing a increase in CLEAN calories, protein etc. If your not seeing any weight gains EAT EAT EAT more, stay away from junk food. What is your workout routine like?
WOW, first of all i must say YOU WILL SEE RESULTS VERY FAST, just because your use to eating once a day. Your going to shoot up really fast! I want to see progress pictures. You should increase the meal intake to 3 times a day, then shoot it up to 4 then 5. If you increase it dramatically your going to gain really fast and get stretch marks believe me i know it happened to me!
Thats exactly why i created this forum and the group to go along with it! It is hard, but the best part is that you WORK FOR EVERYTHING,

in response my goals are to keep adding as much weight as possible whilst keeping as much definition as possible. I'm hoping by july there will be some real difference. Need to stay consistent this time around. You know its time to do something about your body when you are getting bertstared on the regular
its not how much u can lift, its rather how much you look like you can lift.

I'm in.
I'm tired of the way I look. However, a friend of mine motivated me to work out and diet right. I have been following his advice for the past month and am glad he and this forum's creator is taking the time to help out others with their skinniness.
The only part where I have trouble is dieting as in bulking. Some days, I eat a ton but in others, a bare minimum. I need to be consistent if I want to see results. HOPE this forum helps me with developing discipline.Making the undesirable desirable
