oh my fault if it didnt look clear, i meant to say warm up sets first at your own pace, (however you want to do them) and then proceed to the three working sets as described.

    Break time

Well skinny fellows, it's time for a week off from the gym. Been on a fatigue snowball for a bit so I'll step back Re evaluate my diet and hit it next week. I cut milk out a few weeks back and strange enough I look bigger even though my weight is down a little.

Okay bro so that means I can apply the three working set formula to my current routine. I'm gonna give it a go today and see how it works out.

    Thumbs up all good advice....

I was a skinny a$$ 18yr year old weighing round 132lb, at 6ft1 that's match stick material. Trained till 21, picked up like 10lb only. Truth is when you know what to do it's damn easy. Between 21 and 23 I picked up 40lb, nattie.

Workouts: PERIODIC TRAINING! But REAL periodic training...Not the BS you read in the mags about changing rep range and volume. You switch up your whole damn workout. Plateaus should not be non-existent - you not even giving your body a chance to stagnate. Throw in full body workouts and powerlifting techniques. Throw in forced reps and negatives. All the things you think you know about squatting for big legs, revolving your workouts around compound lifts, ideal rest periods - Throw those away. Yes, you'll be doing your fair share of compound lifts and a lot of squatting but you you'll also be doing your fair share of isolation only workouts. When your body gets used to the same $hit week, in week out it's gona adapt and plateau. The key is changing up, annihilating from all angles. And it's a no brainer that you've gotta cut out all cardio completely if you aren't gaining.

Diet: CONSUME! So you're a hardgainer. You gotta eat. Eat carbs, eat your saturated fats, smash your red meat. You're nattie so you need those saturated fats to spike test production. You just want to eat as much as you can whilst eating relatively cleanish ie. 3 cheat meals a week. If you're going to get in big amounts of protein by eating a dirty burger - smash that $hit. You're skinny therefore you've got a fast metabolism... And you're not going to have a problem losing that fat once you've sized up. Counting calories??? You ain't bored and you ain't in this game to be a pro bodybuilder. Eat every 2-3 hours, 1/3 carbs, 1/3 fats and 1/3 protein and you'll be golden. 1/3 protein doesn't sound like enough? It is because you're eating a lot!

Add me on bodyspace if you're game to try my 'Alpha Dawg' adapted periodic training routine. 3 month program which can be repeated for eternity. If you don't make crazy gains your eating isn't on point and you're too damn worried about getting fat. In which case, you're probably overtrained and are injured and hate this routine. Lol

    Laterzzz and good luck!
All good info there. I would only argue that compound movements are best for skinnies as they stimulate more growth and testosterone. Skinnies have poor recovery and can only do so many sets so the main ones should be focused on.

What do you guys think about drinking protein/carbs DURING a workout so it's instantly available to muscle. I do this and it seems to be working for me. I have no evidence but my own anecdotal observations.

I've been there, and I'm still dealing with it sometimes when I lose a few pounds (losing 5 pounds is enough to make me look underweight).

Before I had some kind of muscles, I had toothpicks as legs and arms. ._.

That first comment = GOLDEN! The reason most of us are underweight is because our tissue building and remodeling (all anabolic processes in the body: skin, bone, muscle, fat) are slower and less efficient than other body types. However, with patience and the correct application these systems will adapt.

Yea definitely! Gatorade and BCAAs are a great tool for someone looking to put on size. Keeps blood sugar levels elevated and keeps muscle glycogen levels elevated.

Online or at any store really. Creatine Mono is all the same. The ingredient IS the name. If its a slightly different molecule it will have to be called something else or it would be false advertising. The only thing that would effect your choice is purity. Pretty much all brands are the same, If you go with a kre-pure tag thats gonna be your highest purity. ON has the best bang for your buck in all their products and they are the best in the business.

Subscribing. Been working on gaining size since we set a date for our wedding about 2 years ago. A lot of trial along the way.

Yea man, any time! Making really good gains right now. My volume has been the lowest of my life and my body loves it. Ive paired that with eating as much as I possibly can and Ive actually put on about 5lbs of LBM and lost about 3LBS of fat. When you find the right combination, you'll know it because things just start falling into place and see easy. I meal prepped about 5 lbs of boneless skinless chicken thighs yesterday. I definitely prefer them over breasts now because they are soo much tender and dont take near as much time to cook in my busy schedule.

How about you? Hows everything coming along? Where are you at in this world? Summer quickly approaching?

Oh wow I should look into that! Me personally I like breasts as well but if boneless thighs requires less time to cook, then I will definitely look into that!

I'm doing ok man. I'm reorganizing my workout and eating patterns. I'm just creating a entirely new regiment! So everything is going ok. Funny you ask because I'm in the USA as well but on the east coast. Atl, GA! haha And yes, spring is here and the heat and humidity is already bothering me. I'm growing a afro and the heat and afro is muy malo. haha

Absolutely no offence intended but instead of asking that on page 155, try reading some the 155 pages.

@ 6'4 150lbs not only would some fat do you some good but you will be hard pressed to even put that on. Ask around, how many guys here have good diets and put on alot of fat? Your body type wont let you put on fat.

Welcome. It's good to have a clear goal to work towards and one that is attainable and a motivation to get there. 194lb doesn't seem skinny tho...lol ...that's a decent weight. Presume you started a while ago and have done well.

I wanna reach 12 stone by the end of July and I'm 7lb off it. I need to cut down on fat though which is a nightmare cos it's impossible to bulk and drop fat simultaneously. :-/

Thank you sir. I started over 2 years ago. I haven't been on proper scales in a long time but I struggled to get my weight past what it is now. I saw a photo of myself a few months ago of what I looked like before I really got stuck in any my face was soooooo skinny. Now I have a bit of gut to lose. Unfortunately work and wedding stress are slowing that down. I'll be a pt in May and I want to look the part.
I started at 12 stone but I've a bit of a height issue. Invest in scrawny to brawny by precision nutrition. Excellent book.

Wheres everyone at? Hows everyones lifting going? Starting a recomp today hopefully I can add about 2-5lbs and drop about 2% body fat (or 2-5lbs) in the next 8 weeks. Heres my 3 year transformation with much more room for improvement! Were all gonna make it brahs, keep grinding. If you want it bad enough youll be willing to work hard enough. As always, free advice via PM or just post.

    140lbs

    185lbs

Current diet: Ive created ranges for myself since im not trying to prep for a show. If i hit my ranges consistently I will be happy and make progress. All calories tracked using myfitnesspal app.

    Protein: 190-250g
    Fat: 75-105g
    Carbs: 320-420g

Carb breakdown: Only 3 meals a day but in excess of 140g in a sitting in order to promote fat burning throughout the day and ensure proper energy when lifting and recovery post workout. Also taking a fat burner with breakfast.

15% of total carbs at breakfast
    35% pre workout meal
20% during workout (gatorade + whey protein)
    30% post workout
