Dont you guys hate when you get sick for a day, dont eat anything, and loose like 5 lbs?
Had stomach aches yesterday, ate maybe 500 calories the entire day (typically 3000), and when i lost like 8lbs.
Now my gym strength wont be there for a week-ish until im feeling well enough to eat 3k and im properly nourished, that means deloads which sets me back a week or two from my goals.▪██─────██▪ Ivanko Barbell Crew #70 ▪██─────██▪

No I am not doing anything special at all, im just eating alot more food portions, and every chance I get even if im not hungry on lunch breaks I still try and eat something. and just doing a basic 5 day split workout, im just pushing myself to my limits and then some. 8-10 reps (usually failure on rep 10 all 3-4 sets)
I also feel like drinking this ISO mass daily is for sure putting on some pounds
Im seeing a belly im not going to lie but all these pounds ive put on in the last 3 weeks has spread to more then just my belly!

I guess, I don't think I look too bad at 170lb with a six-pack. I do enjoy strength/powerlifting and always incorporate it to my routines somehow. My personal bests are: Deadlift 1x330lb, Squat 1x315lb (first rep was above parallel), Bench 185x5. I'm going to keep bulking, I guess I just need to structure my workouts around beating PR's as that'll keep me focused for longer than going for size goals.

ahh yes one of my favorite ways to lift! heavy compound sets of 5 with long rest at the beginning of workout. then hypertrophy compounds and isolations shorter rest time 8-12 reps.
im about to get back on that as soon as i get my base down a little better and hit consistency.
good luck brah!Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA)

Close to tipping the 1 year mark since I started lifting. This time around last year if anyone would've suggested that I'd be -
~ 38 lbs heavier with muscle mass better than the average bloke I see on the street
eating 1.4X of what I was and getting in 1500 ml of milk on top of that daily without really taxing my intestines
feeling more energetic than I've ever been
squatting 1.2X BW and dead lifting 1.6X BW for reps easily
All this without compromising on other aspects of life (when you are 30 yrs old this does become a factor).............I'd have called him a bloody joker
Broke all PR's over the past month and have been seeing good progress (both in terms of strength & increased muscle mass) ever since I shifted to a routine that hits each muscle group 2X a week. Its frequency >> everything else for me given that I still have some noob gains left in me and my lifts aren't even close to being called decent
Here's to the next 12 months of consistent lifting and seeing progress, I am not gonna get off this new found hobby of mine for anything or anyone* Skinny to non skinny transformation crew * - I am gonna effin nail this

Always nice to see new faces here, and those actually pushing themselves and breaking records...and hit goals. My hat goes off to you bro, thats excellent news.
The semester is almost over, just one month left. I've been extremely busy and I really need to make more time to post and be more active here.
Monday will mark the end of Month 1, Can't wait to do my weigh in and pictures. Although my main focus is on overall growth, this time around my main focus is getting my legs HUGE, and also back. I actually love doing legs now, and I'm seeing great progress with them so far. I know the first month getting back into dieting and drinking tons of water my first month goal was roughly 5 lb gain, but I already know I already hit that my first 2 weeks. So I didn't really have a need to tweak my diet. After the first month is over, I will continue to just aim for 5 lbs a month.
Can't wait to update everyone, and never give up! In January I plan on getting certified for fitness and nutrition. Going to have to set alot of money aside since the one I would like to do is pretty expensive. Oh well figured why not, especially since i always love reading more about these subjects/ passionate about it.

Hit 197, heaviest i've ever been and saw the GF. She did not like the love handles. Its tough because she likes the front of my stomach (which has faint horizontal definition for the top ab, as much as I ever have), but does not like the sides. I know I've put on fluff, but I still feel like my arms are tiny. Dam it. Im still going to get as big as I can before I start cutting in late jan but I'm going to try and tighten up on my cal intake. I was gaining about 2.2lbs a week for october. :/ my average over the last four has been 1lb/week. Currently have weighed it at 194-196.
Keep at it bros. Im going to break the 200 barrier soon!

grats on the 197! also, just do what YOU want, if your GF cares, she'll see your passion and accept it.
I would however say that 2.2 lbs a week is too much weight gain. Realistically, if ur putting on 0.3-0.5 lbs of muscle a week then its pretty amazing. the rest is likely fat. i would say tone calories down, and re-evaluate your maintenance point.
Sounds like ur making great progress otherwise!Certified GIF reactionist

I think I see some progress since June 2012 when I'd realized I was packing on more fat than I wanted to, however looking forward to feedback from you folks (honest & candid as usual)
Still have a chunk of fat around my mid section I'd want to lose at some point of time but I think my upper body in general seems to have filled out a bit

Week 6 is almost coming to an end! Semester almost finished so hoping to actually post here once a day.
Just an update, So my goal was to jump 5lbs roughly per month, not too much. Had my weigh in after 4 weeks and was up 8lbs! Pretty stoked about hitting my goal. Since I missed taking photos for month one thought I should just wait til month 2 is over, might see better results. Overall everything seems to be going well, strength is coming back, and I can already see big improvements with my body. My wings are looking pretty good! Ahhhh, my back has always been decent, really want it to look freakish, if iI keep it up I'm sure I should be able to make it stand out.
Anywho, Once I hit 170 again , going to aim another 20 lbs.. then another 20. Going to be one hell of a journey but when I hit 210....I can finally say I gained 100lbs since I started. (NOT IN A RUSH TO GET THERE, looking to gain over a long period) Overall hitting 200 will be a huge accomplishment ..200lbs is 200lbs ....LETS GOWe Win OR We Learn

sittin at 305 for 5 reps ATM, not sure of 1RM
grats bud. 200 at 5'9 would be fuarking massive, 170 is still pretty damn good too.
You definetly put some mass on your bak, and the muscle spreads the fat around and made you look a bit leaner. Yeah, i would guess 20%. Arms and back look progressed, but i am not seeing much development in the front- maybe hit chest and shoulders a bit harder. overall good progress!
im going to post some progress pics tonight, cant wait!Certified GIF reactionist
