You should maybe stick to 3 days a week since you'll be starting out you may need more time to rest in between workout days. Try searching for starting strength.

I have been hitting the gym 5-6 days a week with a real dedication to my nutrition and supplementation. I just weighed myself again after 3 weeks on my new regiment and i gained 6lbs! I took pics each week and it doesn't seem like fat gain and i have a fast metabolism. I am so excited to see gains finally and i wanted to share my accomplishment with everyone else!

Got my Jack3d in yestorday and tried it out on chest day. It helped give me a boost in energy and not the jittery my heart is going to pound out of my chest kind of energy. I couldn't sleep last night dont know if the jack3d had anything to do with that.
I did 10-15mins of cardio after my workouts and only gained 0.2lbs this week. Going to cut all cardio out and just live with the fat gain till I decide to cut.

Hey I dont know if anyone in here uses creatine. But I started 22 days ago and i loaded but did not gain any water weight. I feel stronger in the Gym , so Im not sure if Im a non responder. My question is do you need to gain water weight to feel the effects of creatine mono?

I've never gained water weight from creatine. From what I understand, only the ancient creatine blends caused this.

You don't use creatine to gain water weight. What would be the point in that as water weight is temporary...drink water to gain water weight lol. Creatine is used as a pre-workout supp. (and post) to give you more energy to push out another rep or two. Yes though, it is known to cause water weight gain since it sends fluids to your muscles. I look at creatine as a supplement for supplements...It helps deliver carbs, protein, and other nutrients to your muscles, at the same time, giving you energy.

Contest is over in like a week! Wish I saw better results, but during the contest I've had to take about 2 and a half to 3 weeks off during this comp. due to Military stuff where I wasn't able to workout, and keep to my diet. I'm still proud of myself though because I feel different, gained some solid weight and grew a little as far as muscles go. Progress pics will come on the 28th along with updated stats. A lot of you guys have made awesome progress! By no means is this end of the journey, and we still need to keep pushing each other, giving tips, etc. Keep it up!!!

I'm 5'9", and last november I was 125, it's now june and I'm about 150, still 5' 9". It's a start, I have a LONG way to go, but its good to know that getting bigger finally feels possible.

Getting bigger is ALWAYS a possibility. It's the dedication to diet and training that separates the doer's and gonna doer's. Diet is number 1, lifting number 2. It's a lifestyle. So make it yours and you WILL succeed.

I did some research and found out Jack3d does cause sleep loss. FYI...If you workout in the evening dont take it unless you want to be up till 2am. For me I have to get up at 6am to go to work and only getting 4hrs sleep dont work for me. Saturday Im off so I go to the gym in the morning and Ill take jack3d then, no more on week days where I workout in the evening.

You don't need to do research to use common sense.
The amount of caff. Jack3d has, + lifting at night = no sleep.
If you drink a pot of coffee at 8pm, do you think you'll stay up all night? No need to research, because you know you will.
90% of pre workout supps have stims in them. Sounds like you need to research which ones DON'T.

I drink coffee all day and more during the winter months. Im the type I can drink a pot and go to bed 30mins later. The caffeine is not the problem for me, some other ingredient is keeping me up.

I've been lifting for just over a year. I'm 5' 11" and 165 lbs. Since I started I went from 155 in April 2010 to 175 in August 2010 with a gut (gained way too fast), then dropped to 165 this February. I'm pretty happy with my arms but I still feel like I'm a stick with a bit of a body fat that just won't go away, and I OBSESS over information on this site to the point where I can't decide whether to try to cut down more and have abs, or eat eat eat and risk getting my gut back but also look beefier. Anyone else struggle with the skinny-fat look? I hate it. Feel like I should look at least a bit bigger (lean weight, not fat) after working out for over a year.

So I stumbled upon this pic of me yesterday as a kid. Probably 9 years old here?

Here's one when I just started trying to put on weight

And here's an arm pic from today. I still feel I'm small, but looking back, it puts it in perspective. lol
Edit: imageshack removed it for some reason. It's in AVI

Just joined the group....going for a change!
I am 20 years old, 6 foot 3 and weight 143 pounds. Since I started going hard in the gym (2 weeks ago) I went from 140 to 143. Proud of myself, finally making a change in my life. I'm addicted to the gym. Hoping to get to my goal of 185 this year and see where I want to go from there.

lol cept i'm not doing this contest. i'm still comparing myself agains u guys but because of my situation i didn't feel comfortable comitting to it because i never know what might happen to get in the way of it.
oh and i like the hypertrophy part of this routine because it'll keep me in shape for the marine corps. and i'll need that. can't be all about strength gains and no conditioning. i also need to find a way to work in abs. i'm thinking on power lower days since thats the shortest day.
