Been looking into all of this and can't wait to get going.
Going to take measurements this weekend of my body and track my progress.
I am hoping that by doing all this I will feel better daily, and not be sluggish and half a sleep like I am currently.
Sweet, Really excited to see your progress and glad you finally decided to change your lifestyle around. Better now then later! But glad your in on this. Thats a good start
figure out your goals yet?

It starts during my 3rd or 4th set, like I said, and then lasts for a couple hours. It makes it incredibly hard to down my post workout shake (which makes it worse), and I lose my appetite, which makes it nearly impossible to force myself to eat a meal an hour or so later. It's driving me nuts! Does anyone have any advice they could offer? It's only started in the last 3 weeks, after I switched from Madcow to Texas Method.
maybe you are eating alot right before you hit the gym? When I use to eat huge meals before the gym, and lift heavy I noticed I would feel like that. what post shake are you currently taking?

Usually half a baked potato or some oatmeal. Nothing heavy. Post workout is:
16 oz whole milk
1 scoop whey gold standard
2 tbsp dextrose
1 tsp creatine mono (5mg)
1/2 cup oatmeal
1/2-3/4 cup icecream
Split into 2 doses that I drink about an hour apart. The 2nd dose is w/ or after my meal.
I've never had a problem with this shake and I've been taking it for a couple months. Could it be that I need more cardio and my heart rate is getting ridiculously high, and then my system is shocked until it recovers/settles down?

My university just emailed me this.
"My university"-Exercise & Sport Sciences Program is currently recruiting subjects for a new food supplement study. The new project seeks healthy college-age men and women, who do not currently participate in a structured exercise program, as research subjects. The food supplement to be studied is β-alanine. Each subject’s project involvement will last approximately 2 months.
Maybe I should go tell them I don't workout so I can get some free Beta Alanine. "Bro, I don't even lift", lol.

My body doesnt gain muscle easily, so this should be good for me
the only thing my body does quickly is establish these 15 % BF, not more, and loose weight if i have stress -.-
Hope you will be around for my journey, pictures will follow soon
Welcome to the group! We all encourage each other here. The first things you should do is really examine your diet and see how many calories you're actually eating a day. A lot of "hardgainers" are also under eaters. I know I am, especially when I'm stressed. When I am stressed out I eat less and less, so it's a constant struggle to maintain and gain weight. Are you on any specific workout program yet?

I personally do not handle well stimulants before training
I am pumped and motivated anyways, and this stuff sometimes scares me a bit if my heart is racing etc, sweating

I never experienced any off day head aches, but I was a caffeine junky back when I was taking that stuff, so I never crashed. Military life... 4 energy drinks a day crew. Glad I'm out and going to school now. Now it'll prbably be adderall 4 times a day, haha!

My first week log is done, today was the last day, until I start a solid program/routine, I'm still searching around, man, I kind of have a gut a little bit, but for my weight, I shouldn't probably worry about that stuff currently.

profit?
Been very sick for an entire month, and finally had the energy to go to the gym today. Body weight dropped to 160lbs.
Squatted 170 3x5 and deadlifted 275x5, man does this suck Lost nearly 100lbs on my squat.
Was planning on hitting a 405 DL in march, but that is going to be postponed quite a few months while i work my way back up.
Sucks, but sh*t happens.

It'll come back quicker than the first time. Don't sweat it, illnesses and injuries happen to all of us, it's just the name of the game. Buck up, you'll be fine. Just focus on staying healthy and your lifts will come back.

True that.
Honestly, im finding any sort of 3x5 program (SS, Stronglifts, Texas) to be a tad boring lately.
Im really dying to run Sheiko for a day and see how i like it.

I am starting on Mark Rippetoes SS program, purely because that is what is recommended to beginners.
First goal is to learn how to do all the lifts in the program with good form.
Then, for all of Jan, Feb, March and April I am going to try and put on a lot of weight and gain both strength and muscle.
My overall goal is to reach a size that I am happy with, a size that suits football (soccer) so obviously not massive.
Also, to work on my speed and agility.
I want to become quick, explosive and strong.
Also want to look good!

Wow, sounds like solid gains over a good period of time, they should stick for along time Looking to hit 170 in the next 3 months when i start up again on the 21st. Are you looking to push pass 170??
