Ill start this out. Most movie threads fail because well, most people have seen all the movies. So let me start with George Lucus's first film ever. Very thought provoking and artistic, nothing like what he does today. The imagery is downright amazing.

Children Underground
A Romanian documentary, 'Children Underground follows the story of five street children, aged eight to sixteen who live in a subway station in Bucharest, Romania. The street kids are encountered daily by commuting adults, who pass them by in the station as they starve, swindle, and steal, all while searching desperately for a fresh can of paint to get high with.'
A very powerful doco that really makes you grateful for what you have.

^^^^Brazil, Fuk yes
Hate to nitpick but can people post more than just a name and how it is good? Like what kind of movie is it? A brief synopsis is always great or even just a youtube link.
When you see a list of names it doesnt really do much for people.“The first revolt is against the supreme tyranny of theology, of the phantom of God. As long as we have a master in heaven, we will be slaves on earth.”

^^^^^What's it about? Why is it good? ^^^^^
Ironically Equilibrium is almost an exact rip off of the film I posted
However much more action. Equilibrium would have been a GREAT movie if they would have not chosen such a crap director. IT is still decent, but it kinda ticks me off that they wasted this great concept on that guy.“The first revolt is against the supreme tyranny of theology, of the phantom of God. As long as we have a master in heaven, we will be slaves on earth.”

This that spike lee film with Norton facing jail for being a hustling drug dealer? Movie was horrible. It kept leading up like it was going to be an epic gangster flick but was just a dull depiction of a white drug dealer on the east coast and was probably just Spikes retarded racial "view" of it all...
