Last time i posted here I was unable to get my 200kg Deadlift.. However... Things have changed and I have smashed 220kg for 2 reps without any supportive equipment (thats how I train). My incline bench is also now pretty good, 120kg at 4 reps! BOOYA'!

    Okay srs I ran a 10.13 mile.
I know it's funny and people are going to want to chuckle picturing my AVI shuffling around a track @2.25 a lap but
I've used my asthma as an excuse all my life, even though I would dream about being able to run fast I never ever thought I could jog a mile and not stop and not die.
Glad I had my inhaler though.

I'm going to keep at it and post back here when I hit seven minutes.

Finally saw some movement in my squat numbers. I was stuck at 315 for the past few months. Just hit 325 yesterday after a lot of heavy singles. Sets leading up to lift were 1x... 265 / 295 / 315 / 275 / 305 / 325. Dead/Squat/Bench total to 990... almost in that 1000 lb club. It felt like a solid lift too. Looks like the extra training on core stability and lower back strength is paying off.
    D/SQ/B = 405/335/270 = 1010#
    I finally made it.

got an allergy called "cholinergic urticaria" and it made me quit gym 4 years ago, I just lost my motivation. Each time I was going to the gym it was starting and the way the skin was stinging and tickling during that time made me lose interest to the point where I quit. 4 months ago I decided to go back and in the same day stop drinking soda and eating sweets such as chocolate. That day I really did it and today I'm still going at the gym and my allergy is way better (learnt to control it better since then) . Now it's like a drug again and I won't give it up anymore. Next objective is to do dumbbell bench presses with twist with 25kg per hand as before. Then I'll see what I'll post next

I've been lifting for a year and have had a goal of two plates on my barbell squat for a loooong time. After lots and lots of hard work and a ton of support from my trainer, I finally reached my goal. I ended up doing three single reps of a 225 pound barbell squat. Link to video is on my bodyspace page Don't ever quit!!!! xoxo

Getting back into a bulk phase after a months long cut, so all my lifts have gone done, especially squats and deadlifts, but yesterday I managed to equal my best on bench on the 3,3,3 workout of Wendell's 5,3,1.

    102.5kg x 7 reps!

    'Ave it!
    355 squat
    265 bench
    530 deadlift

Long time reader, first time posting. I began the SS routine 3 months ago after 3 years of pole vaulting (weighed in around 155) and I've already seen huge improvements. Just hit 200lb for 5 reps on my deadlift and my bodyweight is up to 170. Needless to say I'm now a firm believer in full-body workouts and compound movements. I'm hoping to be able to put on another 10lbs bodyweight or so before I think about moving to a split.
Lots of great motivation here, thanks guys!

Well, I've been neglecting bench pressing due to just being afraid of the bar (I'm exceptionally new) so I've been building up slowly and have finally hit benching the 135 mark or single 45's on each side for two reps total so PR 135x2

I see so many great PR Smashing things here that I almost hate to post mine being so small. I'm just so excited that for the first time I was able to get 4 unassisted tricep dips. When I first started couldn't even do 1 assisted and almost fell on my face trying.

    Huge PR today:

    610 x 15 reps.

Then I did it again with paper for good measure.

Nice thread, it's awesome seeing everyone smashing their PRs! I benched 275x2 last week, trying to get that 6 plate bench before the end of the year! Previous 1 rep max was 255.
