oh i started august 2012 with compound movements..i know it's not much but im happy with this i went and tried to get my maxes for:
DL: 90kg / 200 lbs
Bench press 60 kg / 132 lbs
Squats; 60 Kg / 132 lbs
leg press ; 220 kg / 485 lbs < 10 reps, max with 1 was over 350 kg / 771 Lbs ( adventage of being fat and having bigger legs :P)
dumbell press : 26 Kg /60 lbs dumbells
let's add 20 kg to deadlifts and 10 kg to bench press after a week :P
In the last month or so have slayed all 3 of my previous prs.
175lbs
Bench 205-230
squat 225-275
Deadlift 315-385
good job, man! sounds like our lifts are in the same neighborhood!
hit 200x1 flat BB press tonight, spotter only lightly touching bar, no help, going all the way to chest and up
I've just recently started weight training (Aug 2012) and have a brand new ACL and less shredded cartilage in my knee (2010) so leg days tend to scare me a bit. I wear my brace whenever I do any sort of pushing with my legs, unfortunately it's too big and bulky to use while doing extensions or curls. In any case, leg press, and squats make me nervous, but I do them all the same, upping my weight regularly seeing what my legs can handle.
Today I was feeling braver than I have in the last few weeks and banged out some new PRs.
Leg press 410lbs x20 (2 sets into drop sets thanks to Kris Gethin's 12wk trainer)
Barbell Squat 185 x12 (2 sets)
I'm sure I could do more weight, but I'm upping these lifts slowly and conservatively so as to put my knee at as little risk as possible while still getting a good burn.
At the beginning of Aug I was 289lbs and probably over 35% BF. Now down to 242lbs, and around 22-23% BF. Still lots more work to do, but today I feel good.
I have heaps of goals to reach before december 31st. got 40 kg dumbell bench today

On my first day in prison they were lining up to fight me. By my last day they were lining up to give me their food. Life is about Attitude. Life is Good.
When I first started 10 months ago, I use to record my weight so I knew what I did last time. I just looked at it today to compare to it and in 10 months I have seen..
Bench Press - 50kg to 90kg
Squats - 50kg 90kg

I was squatting 405x3 before i injured my ankle. I just started back on legs last week and only got 185x6, and im determined to get back up there and hit 455 ASAP. Will keep you brahs posted.
I remember when I first started working out I was doing 16KG DB chest press, last weekend I did 6 reps with 60KG DBs. I felt incredible. But now my joints ache, a lot.
The hardest things in life are done the least, but provide the most.
previous deadlift max of 315, warmed up, went for 320...got 3 reps easy...said screw it, put on 20 more pounds, pulled 340. Tried 350 and got it to knee height then failed, I think I could get it fresh though
Really happy with this one. Big PR. Push press 225x5 behind the neck. Next is 275x1 and then 300x1. 300 push press @ 185 BW has been a goal for a long time, but the push press is driven up by the squat, and you'll probably need an ATG oly squat of around 500+ to push press 300. Not there yet, but I will be.
I was stuck on a 315 on a dead lift for past 4 months. Incresed my carbs and fats quite a bit. Went for a 335 today. Glad I was able to break the plateau. On my way to a four plate deadlift soon.
