    Disregard Everything, Acquire Aesthetics Crew

Dear Frederick, thank you for your nice letter, but I am actually a US Marine who was born to kill, whereas clearly you seem to have mistaken me for some sort of wine sipping, communist dick suck. And although peace probably appeals to tree hugging bi-sexuals like you and your parents, I happen to be a death-dealing, blood-crazed warrior who wakes up every day just hoping for the chance to dismember my enemies and defile their civilizations.

Apparently you bang soldiers, sailors, and only airmen's wives?

Not that I can blame you on the chairmen problem, they are a tad hefty.

Got to stay off of the water beds and air mattresses, too soft, not enough support.

I liked the prestige of being a Marine when I signed up. But truth be told, it really depends on what you're doing in the particular branch.

I'm hoping to join the Army and become a Ranger officer after college.

    how bout that recruiting class?
Regarding the recruiting class - I'm stoked. Hopefully it'll translate to a return to what we use to have in the '90s.

As for your goals - That's excellent. However, voicing them is another thing entirely. I have friends who have been in the 75th or SF. These are not things to be taken lightly. Qualifying and/or being accepted for one, let alone the other, would be one hell of an accomplishment. Speaking of transferring between two elite units before you've yet to be in either, wow.

Confidence is good - I knew I'd be flying jets in the Marine Corps before I even completed OCS. Would I have ever voiced that to someone other than my closest friends? Absolutely not.

    Something to think about.

Actually, yeah. In all the dick measuring contests between various SOCOM units, people tend to leave out the CIA SAD (Special Activities Division) since they're not technically a part of the military. SAD recruits the best from groups like Delta and DEVGRU, who in turn recruit the best from SF/Rangers and SEALs (respectively).

So isn't sapper just slang for combat engineer? Can you get that in your contract or do you have to just go for MOS 13 and hope you get it?

Also how does one go into EOD? I know in the Marines you can't join as an EOD

Non-tabbed. Believe it or not, we cannot get any slots for the school as a Sapper Company. Yet fricking desk ranger LTs from state and BDE HQ get the slots allotted for the state.

I joined the Marines for all the reasons already listed. It comes down to choice.

I do however respect all branches, other units, elite units and those who serve period over those who do not.
I wish everyone the best in achieving your goals
