Shortly after this pre-workout appeared in the BodyBuilding.com store it had about 25 reviews (makes sense because lots of people buy new products) and overall they were very positive. C4 had about a 9.7 rating. I just checked it again, and now that it has more reviews, 40 something, it has a 7.8 rating. I decided to go in and read the reviews and about 10 in a row all give it a 1 or a 2 rating. On top of it, the reasons for these low ratings are all pretty weak (i.e. "too many stims" or "worse than N.O. Xplode").
Do you guys think this is for real and C4 Extreme is a sub-par product, or is it good?...so good maybe that someone needed to halt its successes.
Discuss.

Dude it's a preworkout product. Try it and if it works for you then it works. Don't buy into the review hype on there.
The only difference between every preworkout is flavor IMO. The one effect that you see over any other is the caffeine content. How come people don't realize this yet?
Want a real review? I bought a tub. Fruit punch. I was stimmed out. Nitrates. Great chest pump. Boom. It tasted great. What else do you want to learn from a preworkout review?
Or are you like that guy who thinks "if I drink super pump max like will my max bench go from 200 lbs to like 210 lbs after drinking it, that's all I'm asking respect the srs tag" ><

I got a beta tub two days ago. Look at my review history, very unbiased.
I would give it a 6. No/little additional pump, very low stim effect (usually feel 1,3). Zero BA tingles, and I usually get them around 1g, two servings has way more than that (at least on the label). Tasted good though.
Going to give it a chance, but so far very unimpressed.

Like a lot of Pre's out there - it seems underdosed. As mentioned above, the main difference in most of these supplements is the flavor and the amount of stims. Most have a dash of creatine, AKG or arginine and now beta alanine (along with other stuff: leucine, some BCAAs and carbs). Along with D-1,3 or caffeine. Really, how different can it be?

LOL. I remember reading that exact quote yesterday! I'm not like that guy, but I once was. As a result of advertising, anyone who is not properly educated on pre-workout supplements would of course think this way.
I just like to do some research before buying anything, and customer testimonials are often very informative.
Thanks for your input son.

I think it is pretty obvious what is going on... If you want to know how people really feel about the product, there has been well over 100 logs on bb.com and many many more on other sites. You can also go to the C4 website, or simply google it to see what is out there. I think you will find the truth pretty quickly

I figured I would repost this from a prior thread:
"I would simply like for everyone to consider the following...
Current top pre-workout on bb.com = 45 servings/15 days max dosage for $26.99
2nd best selling pre-workout on bb.com = 50 servings/16.66 days at max dosage for $33.99
3rd best selling pre-workout on bb.com = 40 servings/20 days at max dosage for $34.99
4th best selling pre-workout on bb.com = 40 servings/13.33 days at max dosage for $33.95
Those same products have the following cost per serving/cost per max dosage:
Top seller = .60/1.80
2nd best = .68/2.04
3rd best = .87/1.75
4th best = .85/2.55
Cost per serving really ends up being somewhat arbitrary. It would be one thing if everyone dosed C4 at 3 scoops, but 98% of people who have logged it have said 1.5 to 2 is where it is at. Therefore, C4 at $24.99 is .83 per serving, but more importantly, $1.66 per max dosage. This places it lower than the 4 products I am comparing it to above.
I would also like to clarify for everyone that C4 will be available in a 60 serving next week which is priced at $39.99. This has a per serving of .66 and most importantly, a price per max dose of $1.33. Not taking into consideration BOGOs or other specials, this price is 26% lower than the top seller.
So, as far as whether or not this product is a good value, the math would point to this product being the best current value out of the top 4 sellers on bb.com."
At max dosage, what is a better value? I will provide a FREE C4 to the first 50 people with a response. Product must be a pre-workout in the top 5 best sellers on bb.com and contain creatine.Last edited by CELLUCORSCEO; 02-03-2011 at 01:40 PM. Reason: Foot in mouth typo

I just went to look at them, and it appears the bulk of the good reviews were beta-testers, and the 1/10 reviews seem to be people who don't realize 2 scoops are the sweet spot and are only using it at "half-dose" which would appear underdosed for 1 scoop judging by the label. I think this is terrifically priced and 15 workouts (considering I average about 3 a week) at 2 scoops is plenty for $24.99.

One of the 1/10 is from Canada. We cannot ship 1,3 DMAA to canada, so he has never tried the product, nor the beta.
He is a troll. The other accounts are 1 pic, no bio, no progress, no posts, and even if they are from an earlier joining date, their profiles are unmaintained.
I would happily take any rating given fairly. It would only help us improve our products.
What no one realizes is that 1.5 to 2 scoops was about 60% of thebeta testers. A solid 35% or so were taking 1 scoop with high reviews. We had a sellect few go to 2.5-3 scoops out of there own record, and they rated above 10/10, but we stick to 2 scoops as the max dose for the masses.
Its simply the usual suspects playing the review game.
1.) Shill review
2.) troll threads
3.) discredit reviews
4.) to distract from the 100 logs already out there saying great things
5.) Those who don't like C4 so far, I can count on my hand. Even though its alpha yohimbine some still are too sensitive too it.
6.) if its does nothing at 2 scoops you are broken
7.)60 serving at a lower serving cost, on it way...No Longer with Cellucor....do not contact directly for assistance, please see Official Rep Thread for assistance or contact Cellucor directly at Cellucor.com

I'd say 1MR by BPI, reg dosage is 1/3 a scoop, max dosage is a full scoop and even at 1 full scoop it would last you aprox 27 days for 28$(3 $ off currently with coupon) and has been said to give insane energy so most wouldn't even use a full scoop.
I personally take SP max right now as a PWO and would be surprised if C4 extremes new formula would even come close to the type of pumps and focus I get on SP max.

I always give unbiased reviews. I got a free tub. I can't wait to try it out. Honestly at 1 scoop yeah a little underdosed. But 2 scoops seems to be where it's At
The reason I think some companies underdose 1 scoop is for variability and stackability with other products.
It wouldnt make sense for superpump max to have 5g creatine per scoop and sizeon to have another 5g per scoop.
However if a company doesn't have products like that then they sure as hell better put 5g in their pre workout.

There were alot of Beta reviews of C4 going on before the product hit the shelves. So, that is where all the reviews came from. I've been using the stuff, and logging, for about 3-4 wks now and its a good product. Even with only 1 scoop I get good energy but sometimes I feel myself dragging and hit a scoop and a half.

suspiciously if you look at some of the people who rated it 1/10 their review history almost all of them reviewed a bunch of Muscle Pharm products 10/10 then nothing else hmmm the one guy reviewed every single MP product they make 10/10 then review C4 1/10 and nothing else. possible MP shills.
edit: also i see alot of the 1/10 reviews calling it a jack3d clone so maybe something there too.

Currently BB.com is running a promotion for $10 off a 3 Bottle combo of Jack3d. This translates to:
3 Bottles of Jack3d Regular Price: $76.95 for 45 max dosage servings = $1.71 per serving
With the $10 off coupon applied, this becomes:
3 Bottle of Jack3d Discount Price: $66.95 for 45 max dosage servings = $1.49 per serving
Jack3d is currently BB.com's top selling pre-workout supplement, and the 3 bottle combo is #5 on the list.
